I have that exact same bike and I am about to do some upgrades to my 450er and I can say this was really helpful

Finally. Ive been waiting fir another quad build fir so long

I was going to go with a 450 but decided on the 400ex instead and im glad I did, my uncle used to race against 450's on his 400ex back in the day and kicked ass, no need to worry about radiators and such and I much prefer the bug eyed look of the early 400ex', only thing is the horrible pogo sticks up front I would love to get some yfz450 or trx 450 front shocks but people are asking way to much these days, best graduation present and thing ive ever bought, beginning of next year it will be 2 years.

@@tylerallen6235 I personally felt my yfz had more it was an 05 and would stand up on every gear on pavement and than my 08trx450 wouldn't and wouldn't climb as good either

Canam ds 450 is the best quad I've ever tossed a leg over in the 450 class... I'm thinking about a yfz build tho....

I wish someone made carbon fiber rear fenders for the trx450r, I ask fwcarbon ever year to make me a set but they say there's not enough demand to build a mold...

My best friend has a Trx and that thing is his baby

Last year I could have bought a mint 2014 special edition 450r for $2500 but I didn't. It had all the mods- nerfs, wheels, bumper, drag bar, exhaust, etc. Probably my worst regret to this day... Some day ill find the new owner and buy it!

steel wheels dont come on nearly any sport quad either... sorry for being critical, still liked the video overall

Does Honda not build a chain driven 4 wheeler anymore? I stopped over by Yamaha/Honda shop last week and seen a couple of Hondas like my old 250X but none of'm had chains. Looked like driveshafts.. I didn't have time to ask sales person, but I would like to buy 3-4 wheelers for me and my 2 boys (14-15) yr olds and had good luck outta that old Honda

Thanks for the info about the motor. I wouldve been pissed if I would’ve bought a quad with a meager 33hp. A 450 should be making close to 50hp.

I have an 05 and I’ve done exhaust, intake and cam. It kills the other R years, most Yfzs and some Ltzs. Also, ifrcc team Honda used the 05 for Baja

I was hoping to *watch* the build happen haha. Or at least see more of the thing ripping once it was done. This was just a sequence of product placements. No hate, I get that guys are a retailer, but it could have been more exciting and still shilled your stuff.

You guys should offer some factory 43 parts, they're used by pro rider Joel hetrick for a trx450r and the Phoenix honda team.

I wish they still made these. The Yamahas are cool too, but with no competition they really aren’t in any need to develop any further. I’m in the camp that doesn’t want to pay big money for something that I have to buy a trailer to tug around because it isn’t street legal.

Trx and banshee are the best quads ever

Why do have coolant mixing with oil on engine side? Oil looks milky. I have brand new head and head gasket. 🤷🏻‍♂️

8hp increase? yeah that isnt true... was much less than that. the 04-05 had a smoother, more trail friendly delivery while the 06 and up were more aggressive, but only about 2-3 more hp stock on a dyno. when heavily modified, many actually prefer the older engine

also to the point, at least several years ago it was the case, the 04/05 was also capable of more hp in modified form.. even more so when they were bored/stroked. dont know if that still holds true to this day or not

Exactly a lot of false info here. I like how he said it comes with steel wheels but they put itp on. Shows shot of wheels and they're stock aluminum

The 04-05 has more torque and less issues.

Tbh my 05 Will eat any 2020 Sport quad put out , I Eat raptor 700s and Yfz450 all day ... 04/05 has better Motor and Trans , Steel valves which can withstand more abusive Pressure, And finally pulls like a beast ... And The kickstart just a a Plus plus 😍

The Honda TRX 450R will come back but introduced in 700.

I dont think any honda sport quad came with steel lol. My 1989 has the original aluminum wheels still on it

@@ballinhoop2553 not in my case I have falicon striker knife rod in my mine it’s a 544cc stroker kit I guess but yea for after market parts it’s hard to find and get now adays

Yeah likehe said it come with steel wheels lol. It has aluminum wheels from the factory.

Quads are pretty gay, but I would say this one is acceptable...
