Great job hammering down on the R! You guys have the best showcase of what the Talon is capable off so far and I like the fact you're not just standing around it talking about how it does like everyone else but actually taking us along as you experience it for the first time. Your live reactions are priceless! The handling performance of the R is incredible but I would still have to stick with picking the X here in the Appalachian Mountains. There is far more twisty turning trails than wide open so the times I could utilize the R's suspension to the fullest would be few and it would only be in sort bursts...lol. Now it's just a matter of saving my pennies till I can get one!

Took Honda a long time to get here but it appears the wait was worth it. Excellent review gentlemen. Good combination of ride video and personal input about the two machines. Your enthusiasm...which we could hear as you ran them through their paces, was what really struck me. Where I live it would be the R. However, I am one or two other projects away from being able to replace my XP. Hopefully, Big Red will have the talon Turbo R out...THAT is the one that will have me in the dealers showroom post haste.

    1. You guys have come a long way from filming Maverick tie rod installs in Ricks garage! So awesome to see that you guys have made it. I hope this series pushes you over 60k! 2. It's awesome to see your guys style reviews. Its not just watching a rider go through perfectly manicured trails on a shiny new machine with someone narrating the video reading from a thesaurus. This is real world actual riders impressions. Speaking as if you were deciding to purchase the machine with your own money, which you do! Plus its awesome to see you blow all the other media people out of the way and force you to stop to make them catch up lol 3. I think the R simply because its green and it would be awesome to see black, yellow, red, blue and green SxS go down the Hwy

I've owed at least a dozen Honda quads and several dozen bikes. That doesn't include the countless Kawasaki and Yamahas I've had. Every Honda I've ever owed has been dependable and takes the abuse time and again. Parts are forever available. While not always the fastest on the trail they always brought me home. Can't wait to get my hands on one of these, may have to go in debt over the X model🤔

Always thumbs up 👍 if you are thumbs down 👎 you don’t even like sxs’s so why are you even watching. This is the thing I love comparison but it has to be apples to apples out of all the machines you guys have bought lately you could have bought trail machines but you didn’t you bought the biggest and the baddest of Polaris and Can-Am so you really need to get an 1000R so we can see a real comparison I know it’s under powered compared to what you have but it would be awesome to see your ideas on bumping the power up and how that tranny holds up because I’m tired of watching the belt temp every time I hammer the hot silver lake sand dunes in the middle of July or even on a frozen river in the middle of February. Thanks for all the great videos I love them all keep up the great work fellas.👍👍

SH1T, I wished we could have these things here in Australia. They look like soooo much fun. Too many rules here. And a good video too. Is the suspension adjustable (rebound and dampening)? Perhaps some of that "front popping up" in the whoops could be reduced by slowing the rebound or softening the Dampening, to slow the rebound speed. Thanks again for a great video.

i would buy this with confidence no questions asked. honda just makes great quality products. and with this being their first SXS, they did a fantastic job from the looks of it. the dual clutch transmission seems so smooth and fast. i would much rather that over CVTs with their annoying monotone acceleration that never has an end point haha

Great review guys! I do however worry about anyone buying one hoping for more power, if this is like Honda’s past engines(several of which I currently own), it’s not going to be very responsive to power upgrades and I doubt Honda will make a turbo to add on. I’m sure someone in the aftermarket will make some power for it, eventually...

I think the cornering characteristics are right where this needs to be to maintain great ride quality. It never felt tippy.

when are you going to turn one of the sidexsides into a desert racer? I'm surprised we havent seen that yet. then the garage part can show all the fixes after every race and how each part held up. might also help on the parts side of everything as well. would enjoy seeing you race baja 500, 1000 and mint 400. just an idea. enjoy your feedback on all the different units. keep it up.

Speaking of drones I saw a guy chasing around his boys with one of those custom FPV freestyle drones at a dirt bike park. He's got some crazy good footage that would be super cool to chase those SXS through the desert. He said he only had about $600 into his.

I was honestly not even taking notice of this machine much till you guys reviewed it. Sounds and looks pretty impressive. Would like to learn more about the low range and how it handles 32’s and for that matter do 32’s fit? Great video.

They said low range was amazing and as far as the tires the x will fit 32s but the r wont without wheelspacers or really offset wheels

Love you sxs blog guys. You have to remember of course it seems like it needs more HP. You guys are used to your turbos 168Hp and more. The question power wise real world power not on paper how does it compare to the rzr 1000?

I like the green. Way more than i thought. But you blog boys have enough wide units so i think the R would be better for a long term unit. Can't wait for the Blog beauty's to drive it and give a review.

It's so dependent on riding situations that it's nearly impossible to tell. We'll get all the units together this year for a big shootout.

Great review on what had to be a incredible 2 days of riding. I heard Tyler Fisher sent the R so hard that he blew a tire off the rim. I figure if between y'all and him that's all the damage that was done it's a great machine 👍🏻👍🏻

Loved your reviews on them. To bad they don’t make the green in the X. How do y’all think the X would do in the woods like Hatfield McCoy?
