My Honda Cub was in 1961 & 62 in Misawa. It was a goju (50 cc) then, not a shocko nijugo (125cc) like now. A rock solid little machine. Courtesy of Half Vast Flying.

Nowadays I see most guys upgrading the 50cc to 90cc or 110cc.

Nope. Japan is a very mountainous country. We were riding Ina prefecture called Gunma which is about 230km from my. Fuji.

Good from Malaysia. Maybe I will go to Thailand with similar bike.

Yes. They are very spacious and convenient. Honda calls them - Honda business box.

I was surprised how miserable the weather looked, given that Ashikaga is so far south. Was this an especially cold day?

This was in mid winter. We were afraid it was going to rain but it didn't. The temp was about 7to 10C

I can recommend to buy a Super Cub C50, I have one recently and take it everywhere.

Your Cub looks like a 90. What’s your take on a Cub 50 Custom imported to USA from Japan?

You are right! My cub is a 90. The 50 cc cub is also great. The reason why I chose the 90cc is it’s a little more powerful But it’s easy to also bore up the engine in the 50cc and upgrade. In Japan the reason why the 50cc is popular is because you can ride It without having a motorcycle license.

I want a Cub!! No matter how many CC's Had one as a teenager and loved it! Where are you riding? Japan i just read, have plans to visit your country for a long time. :))

I'll go for the 90cc. The 50cc is a little under power. With the 90cc you can travel with a speed of 65km without straining it.

What sprockets do you use in other bikes

Here in Japan Honda don't manufacture it. They have the C110 but it's also expensive

@@Kifaru254 Honda Cubs price rises because it was trending right now here in Indonesia. Before 2017, it was the cheapest bike available in the used bike market.

I want a scooter or minimoto. Quebec is like Japan with a lot of rolling hills and very wet. I lived in China for 4 yrs, saw both Koreas, Russia, Mongolia and HK. I don't like Mongolia and Sichaun food is horrible!

Can 50cc do the job also?

Yes, the 50cc can also do the job. The only problem here in Japan is that a 50cc bike has restricted speed of only up to 30km/h. The authorities are always very strict on that so many guys prefer the 90cc

3 guys on 3 bikes.... IT's romantic !! but I would drive a car.. if it's 2 guys or more.... -_-;;;;

A major improvement would be to kill the music before it kills me. I can see the trip is real fun for you but you don’t have to listen to the concert of crap music. So do yourself and us a great favour and lose the music. I love hearing the bikes and the banter you and your friends have but the music never stops with the bike or speaking so it’s just an irritating noise.
