ok so I took mine up to 103 mph (in Mexico of course) I took a two hour and a half hour trip to Florida in the pouring rain averaging mid 70s just fine but did bring it up a little at one point. she'll get up there in speed.

I just bought the green one two days ago. I already owned a CB500F and knew the engine/transmission was great. This bike is a LOT of fun to just cruise around on. Plus it looks cool, so there's that. It sounded a struggle to maintain 70mph, but I weigh 250 pounds. I didn't buy it do go super fast or very long distances--just my daily rider and plus, my son loves it and he'll take the rider course in September. Win, win.

Heck yea it's a blast to ride for sure. I've caught a lot of flack for saying that it doesn't like to go over 75 but it goods to hear someone else saying this as well lol. I'm sure your son is going to crush the course and you'll have yourself a riding buddy very soon lol.

Yes, I like the flat seat too. I have a 1997 Honda CB750 Nighthawk that has the same type of seat. It gives the rider some extra room to make seating adjustments while riding. A Great looking bike. I am thinking about getting one. Great informative video!

I moved to Riverside CA about a year and a half ago... I kept my car running with AZ license plates until they expired..Long story short, I had tons of drama trying to pass the California Smog test on a 2017 NIssan!!! , No check engine light , car is as smooth as new, it simply says O2 sensor is not ready. I took it to 3 different places and everyone kept telling me that nothing is wrong with it, it simply needs more driving. I tried driving it , even to AZ and back, and nope! Same issue, I know in AZ i wouldn't have any issues.. Soo I finally gave up, and got this same SCL500 color from the dealer, after graduating from Harley Davidson's School, and just got my endorsement 2 days ago. And yea! I'm selling my efing car!! No smog tests required for motorcycles EVER! I'm so excited about my new chapter in life with this wonderful new motorcycle!! I still ride like. a rookie and need to learn to let go all my fear, but i'm confident that sooner or later i'll get there.. Awesome video!!

Just got one of these, same color, a couple of days ago. Love it! I've also got a Rebel. This rides a lot like the Rebel, but is better in the corners and I like the higher seating. I agree that Honda did a great job on this bike. It has plenty of power, but is not at all intimidating. Wish it had a tach, and not crazy about the exhaust, but honestly, those are the only negatives I have and I can live with both of those. Great job on the review. Can't wait to see your next one.

I bought my SCL500(actually it's called the CL500 here in Thailand) for $6,200 so it's a little over $1,000 savings compared to the U.S. I got it in Gunpowder Black Metallic but it's also available here in Candy Energy Orange & Green Metallic. It's definitely a fun ride, esp. since I can ride it almost year round, compared to only 3 or 4 months in my home state of Mo. I've gone over 150km/h so it's definitely way fast enough for my 185lbs weight. I just wish I could get that cool brown leather seat you can buy in the states. Other than that it's a pretty sweet ride over heah!

@@Corey_Vlogs You can rent almost any bike over here, and it's way cheaper than U.S. prices. All you need is an International Drivers Permit, which is easy to get from AAA..but needs to have Motorcycle qualified stated on it. It's extremely dangerous to ride over here though, if you decide to do it just let me know I can make your odds of survival skyrocket. There's no reason to come over here and get hurt/killed.

Is it a Boring ride that would make You wish that You bought a Bigger BIKE ??? Does it sport a “ UJM “ seating position ??? I am 6’2” and 230 …… Would I fit with my long legs? Would my weight overwhelm the HONDA , and make it feel anemic ??? Thanks for Your insight !!!! Brian 😎

Sweet Spot: Low end all the way to top middle is perfection 1-4 gear is a good time Pull: It will pull hard in almost every gear except for 6th Boring Ride: I don't think it's boring for someone that wants to hit some back roads or city roads and cruise around it's the perfect bike. For someone like me that has to be a menace and pop wheelies and go off road and hit jumps it would be a perfect second bike for me. UJM Seating: It is a VERY comfortable ride for me I'm about 6 1 62 and 190lbs I have pretty long legs and I don't feel squished at all. Weight: I don't think 220lbs is even close to slowing this thing down. I have had myself and my wife on it and it will cruise with joy no problem. Hope this helps!

I should have gotten a clear shot of it. So I can see it with sunglasses on pretty clear with a lot of sun and at night I can see it super clear. Apologies about that

@Corey_Vlogs Actually, this is one of the better reviews I've seen as of yet. It's just that the camera is not really catching the display too well, and it looks very dark and hard to see. Thanks for the review. It was helpful.

Great review but if you felt uncomfortable going 80 plus mph you shining haves said so … you misrepresented the bike by emphasizing 70mph and claiming 85mph was tweaking the engine 😢😢

At 70 the bike doesn't vibrate at all at 85 it's shaking like a thumper. Idk how else to put it. I have had plenty of people bust my balls about this lol. I have done 12 o clock wheelies at 40mph and have rode fully built dynas, sportsters, and even an R7. I just base what I felt off of vibrations. If you plan to take this scrambler on the highway at 85 your hands will be numb fast it truly starts to feel like a thumper. I might have to really ride it again and just see if it was the road cause I know for a fact that the 500 is built much better than what I portrayed.

This is a more subdued version of the Ducati Scrambler. The main difference between the two is ease of maintenance and power of course. You pay to have a Ducati, but the power range is incredible. The 803 is not even a conversation in terms of power comparison. This bike is fine, BUT in terms of fun and long term ownership, this is more for subdued personalities who aren't concerned about too much fun.

Yea man my KLX will also hit 85 lol but when this thing hits 85 it starts vibrating a lot and just doesn't like it at all. I'm sure you can tuck in and really send it and get it up to 95 maybe 100 but it just doesn't feel right at all. It has plenty of power down low so I'm guessing the sprocket up front or in the back could be changed to get more top end.

@@Corey_Vlogs good idea on the sprocket, I’m more about acceleration that top speed personally but I would like to be able to keep up with traffic without being tapped out. But I only weigh 140lbs so maybe it’ll be a bit faster under me?
