You don't need low range when you have a manual with 1st gear 🤷. It IS low range.

@@JohnnyRebKywhat he is talking about is the dct model has a 5 speed with dual range so you can put it in manual mode and put it in 1st low which is even lower. It would be nice if the foot shift model had it too for really heavy towing.

I agree. I don’t know why the dct models have it and the foot shifts don’t. You would think Honda could incorporate it somehow

1st gear on the foot shift model is lower then 1st low on dct model and 2nd on the foot shift is the same as 3 low on dct.

Any ideas on adding 4-7 more horsepower? A Suzuki King Qaud is rated at 38.5 Horsepower. Turing to decide which one to buy.

Do you get as much of a thrill on a Pioneer 520 as you do the rubicon? Any preferences ?

I have the 2023 pioneer 520 and it’s not very “thrilling”… depending on what that means to you. It’s more of a work buggy and it’s what my 64yo mom drives around. If you’re looking for thrills look for a quad or a sport sxs.

Is the foot shifter pretty easy to shift? I had a 2010 rancher 420 foot shift and the shifter was hard to shift through the gears. It never seemed to “brake in” and loosen up. I loved the quad but was sick of that hard clunky foot shift and finally sold it.

How fast?

Do you recommend the power steering?

All of them already come with elecronic power steering .. like it or not .. unless you buy and older model not new one

I just bought that exact model branew and it's making a bad noise in the rear end a clanking noise i already haft to take it to the shop

Mine did the same thing . caused by all the litlle free play in the rear drive train. would happen mostly when turning in 4 th gear with little throttle. I can tell you though that it is alot better than all the noise and free play that I had in my kodiak 450 2022. Now that was a piece of crap !!

@@user-yf6py4db9zHonda is nice. I’d rather have a Honda rancher than a new can am renegade 1000 just because Honda is an amazing quality and I had an 02 and it was a beast then my dad sold and and me and him were sad. But in January I got a 21 rancher it’s amazing.

My Cforce 500 runs circles around this 520. More hp, EPS, higher speed, More GC, & it’s $2000 cheaper. Comes with 2500 lb winch with best in industry LED lights. Honda needs to step it up! They’re still in the 90s. My cforce 600 is even better than the rincon 680 in our group. My 600 & buddies 570 sportsman both smokes it in a drag race. No problems out of any machines in our group. All about how you take care of your machine.

Junk the old ones were the best these new ones a complete garbage I have had two new Hondas in the last 10 years and nothing but problems transmission motor and rear-end problems never again will I buy one

You must have got ones made on Monday or Friday. My 2015 has never had an issue. It has 6500 miles. I haven't even changed the battery yet an its 9 1/2 yrs old. I ride in very steep and very rocky terrain an had to pull a couple Polaris atv back to there truck.

Not true the new Hondas are tanks i know from personal experience and seeing other people that have them.

Me personally the foreman is much more fun than the pioneer. Pioneer feels underpowered compared due to having the same engine and much more weight. Still it’s a nice machine.

I agree with caveman. The pioneer 520’s power is pretty weak and the suspension travel is very limited. Look elsewhere for thrills.
