@@dom_offroad quick question? So i just rebuilt my carb and when i installed it it was full throttle idle any idea why that can happen?

@@rubenlemus6736 yeah probably have to spin the slide around. Make sure the slide goes all the way down when you put it into the carb and screw the throttle cap on.

Hey man, I have also have a recon and for me the gas valve need to be straight up and not horizontal to close the line. The left side is for the reserve. I mean maybe I am the only one in the world :). Good video

Yep you’re correct, the previous owner switched the gas lines around and also this petcock was no good so no matter which way you turned it, the fuel would not shut off.

I just taped the line to the main body of the four wheeler

I've got a 2004 Honda recon 250 and I'm having a problem with it. She'll start and idle fine, but when I put it in gear, she dies. Could it be the carb needs cleaning? I had it replaced about 2 years ago, but she does sit for a while a times between seasons. Thanks in advance for any advice you may have.

Good day,i guess the carb size were also same to honda xlr 200/xr 200 and crf 150?and honda cg 150?correct me if im wrong...may i know the jetting size of that kind of carburetor?....i also saw that type of carb on some china bikes and also at online selling shops,original and/or replacements at cheap prices...it was a pz type carb?right?

I did everything you said to do in this video but when I put the carb back together, there’s slack in the throttle and when I fire it up, it’s stuck wide open

Gotta turn the slide around in the carb. Make sure it goes down all the way and moves freely up and down.

Why did you spray the carb spray on the painted frame now it will discolor and the paint will chip causing rust.

I always clean my carb with cleaner then get a air compressor and blow all of the ports of the carb out bc you still have clunk in the ports

If the carb to manifold gasket isn’t cracked or dry rotted and has no vacuum leaks and the carb bowl gasket doesn’t leak fuel when the bowl is tightened down then yeah you’re good

Float is adjusted too lean (not enough gas) and/or main jet is clogged.

Where does the hose on the very bottom go to

@@Wookie1122 that hose is routed in a safe (non hot) place down underneath the motor. It is the carburetor bowl drain hose.
