And your overall take on the NT1100 ? I am in a dilemma b/w tourer & cruiser for longer, comfortable rides with minimal impact to lower back. Was soll am Schaltverhalten der NT nervig sein? Für die Strecke im Video auf S2 stellen und gut. Nervig wäre für mich die gefühlt 200 Schaltvirgänge die du eben auch mit Quickshifter machen mußt.Dazu der Ruck, der jedes Mal beim Schalten durchs Bike geht, und ein paar Mal hat auch der Gang nicht gepasst. Das passiert mit dem DCT nicht.

  • @websterh530

    @websterh530

    10 ай бұрын

    @@renes9966 Well it depends. If you are riding a HD or Indian something, the quick shifter is nonsense. But for a sports bike, adventure bike or touring bike it is fairly useful. For sportier ride quick shifter provides more aggressive and faster gear shifting which also help your rear tire get seamless power. Losing power means losing grips and when you repeatedly accelerate and decelerate you need to use the clutch a lot. It’s annoying and tiring, more dangerous too cuz you don’t have all your five fingers of your left hand grabbing your handle bar. For adventure bikes it’s the same, QS keeps your hand grabbing tightly, very important for off-road. And for touring, QS relieves your left hand, saving one operation saves a lot energy on long road trips. I don’t worry about using QS decreases the joy of a manual. The core experience of a manual is you can choose your gear, you match the rev, the torque and the speed by yourself. And remember you can always use clutch to shift if you want, the QS will automatically be disabled once you pull the lever, some bikes can disable QS in the settings. You have more choices with QS. Anyway everyone has different riding styles, I think you can have a demo ride of a bike equipped with QS, see if it’s for you. Good riding.

    Hi Schaaf I love your videos. I have a question for you, I'm trying to record audio using your method and a zoom h1n but I'm having a lot of trouble with wind noise. I record on the highest quality, gain 8, lo cut 120 and limiter on. I put the recorder in my backpack (kriega r25) and I also use a deadcat and I've tried wrapping the recorder in a blanket but the wind noise is really loud still. I have a stock exhaust but my buddy has a slip on on his bike and its way louder on the recording then my bike even when he's riding 10m behind me. Maybe its because of the backpack that it's not insulated against the wind? Do you have any tips for me so I can improve my audio quality?

  • @DanTube2010

    @DanTube2010

    Жыл бұрын

    I have a Zoom h1n and I think where you put it makes all the difference and this may depend on the bike you are riding and what you are wearing. Generally, I would put it inside my jacket and be riding a bike that has a screen and wind deflection. So, the lower part of my body is out of the wind. If you want true sound you'll want noise reduction off. But bear in mind that even with a dead cat if the mic is near something that is catching the wind then it will pick-up that noise.

    Small question: Why are you always shutting down the engine with the killswitch. To me that looks like a bad habit. I was always advised to use the ignition key since the killswitch interupts the ignition, but doen not (always) cuts of the injection/fuel pump. The key shuts down everything. And it avoids embarassing moments when using the starter with switch in the off position.

  • @mrvwbug4423

    @mrvwbug4423

    Never heard that reason for it. It's usually some old wives tale about "wearing out the kill switch". On literally every fuel injected bike I've ever ridden the fuel pump is turned on with the kill switch. And every carbed bike I've ridden had no fuel pump (good ol simple gravity feed)

    @@mrvwbug4423 I would be interested in an answer as well because I remember reading a 200cc bike’s user manual. And it advised using the key to turn off the engine

    I shut down bikes by killswitching, by getting out the sidestand in 1st gear, by ignition key and by releasing the clutch and holding the brake. Sometimes also by crashing. I tend to overthink everything in life (unfortunately) but this is something I never thought a second about, to be honest.

    Seen that the position is bike like, even if planning to use it just for relaxed touring, I would choose QS because I like to distribute different commands on different extremities. With the DCT, my left foot becomes useless, and without the clutch at very slow speed it’s less controllable

    Hallo.Gerade erst gesehen. Bin immer wieder erstaunt was meine NT so alles kann. Fahre seit 47 Jahren, habe mein erstes Mofa mit 12 bekommen. Fahre sehr gerne zügig, aber wenn meine Frau dabei ist würde ich niemals so fahren, Auch wenn du es kannst, mann muss immer mit der Dummheit der anderen rechnen. Das Leben oder die Gesundheit meines Partners auf Spiel zusetzen könnte ich nicht verantworten. Ach wegen meinen 4 Erwachsenen Söhnen und 5 Enkelkindern nicht. aber sonst wie immer cooles Video. Das letzte mit der Goldwing war klasse😊
