Hi Alex, thanks for sharing. You can make some maintenance videos as well why not, if we all share we all learn. After rechecking and readjusting my chain and sprockets I noticed that I can easily make another 5000 Km with them so there is plenty of time to choose a better chain kit than the OEM. Greetings!

Thank you for taking the time to show us this 'how to' I wonder what the interval is for lubing the parking brake cable. I think I've used my parking brake about 3 times, I'd hate to put it on and the cable seize locking it on !!

The cable seems quite ok, I will double checking it after your comment 😉 I haven't seen any malfunction and I use the brake quite often to park the bike properly. Greetings!

Great detailed video. I just came back from a 2400 km road trip over 2 1/2 days - a lot of hours of highway driving at between 100 - 130 kph - to find that my parking brake was no longer holding the bike. My bike which is a 2020 model had only 4000 kms on the odometer before I set off on this latest trip so I wonder if on this trip the pads were slightly stuck in position whilst I was riding despite no warning light showing on my dashboard panel. Now off to order new pads and will also change the main rear brake pads as a precaution. Thanks for sharing this video.

Nice and simple thanks but a couple of observations. You left these pads far too long and you are icky they didn't damage the disc. It's easy to check these pads and order some new ones when the abrasive material is about 2mm thick... I learned this the hard way and had to replace the brake disc too on my NT700VA7 whose calipers are difficult to get to. When reassembling it is wise to use copper grease to stop the threads seizing. Also the pad pin should be cleaned and greased and I believe that the rear caliper pin should be torqued to only 27Nm. Stripping this thread could prove expensive my friend. That parking brake is a bit of a strange idea don't you think? Anyway thanks for the video which is very clear and useful 🙂

@@IdealBike I live on a hill and when pulling up outside my drive gate alongside the road side kerb having that parking brake is a must otherwise the bike would simply roll back once the engine is switched off and the gearbox defaults to a neutral state. The parking brake may seem a strange idea but believe me when I say that for me it is essential to have it! Thanks for the additional tips in your reply.

@@IdealBike Thanks for your comment. I got the 12mm spanner. That's easy. It's the allen bolts in the end to remove the pad itself. You stopped at this point in your video. I cannot move further though because no allen key fits the bolts.

I'm thinking that if you found fitting Brembo brake pads on the front, that they were noisy, I'm suspecting that either the anti-rattle spring was left out or the person who fitted them didn't apply a little copper grease onto the backplates before bolting it all back up?!?! Omitting doing this can cause a vi ration of the brake pads that, not only causes noise, but can also lead to the pads wearing unevenly/ very quickly!!

Salutare!
