Nice job. I'm sure they intentionally leave a few unprotected items on bikes knowing they'll get a bit rusty in a few years encouraging you to think about trading in! Luckily this channel helps people keep a perfectly good bike well maintained and looking good as new! I noticed in the UK where it rusts after about 10 minutes in the wet salty roads of winter, the front ABS ring is powder coated on later models.

Thanks. Yes we are fortunate in Oz to not have $&@t weather that requires condiments to be spread on our roads.

I really should do this to mine. I am sure it arrived out of the box with rust on the abs ring (but we do like to put salt on the roads 13 months per year up here). 😭 Maybe I could paint mine black and get the wheels redone in anthracite grey at the same time 😍

When torquing down bolts with the elbow the manual clearly state if a torque wrench is not available, when tightening said bolt by a untrained diy mechanic should make a solid click at the exact moment he/she/it/they believe it’s at the recommended value.

I've got one of those builtin 'elbow' talk renchis as well. Head bolts, rod bolts, cam caps, crankcsse, wheel nuts, yeah what the hell is a torque wrench? Except I bought one (recently) and the only reason seems to be making sure the car wheels A, Don't fall off, and B, some thing else, duñno

Looks so much better. I'm just wondering if there is possible merit in two coats of paint even allowing that it is a thick mix? I recently repainted a helmet and used multiple sprays of a thin mix at a distance which turned out exceptionally well. Up to 90.000 km's so that's a good achievement. Make sure you have a good photo of the 100,000 you can show off.

Thanks mate More coats? No. It would just make the paint cover thicker and softer with this type of paint.

The brass threaded insert in the rubber well nut to the side of the indicator has broken loose and now the bolt can't come out. Thinking of drilling it out through the hex but it may trash the whole side panel. Have you ever come across or have any ideas? Thanks for this video by the way.
