I started out on a Grom for my motorcycle course but then got a cb300r (which was also at the course but was always taken) and after a few months on the cb300 I went back to try the Grom again and they are both such light bikes but the Grom felt literally weightless.

Lol! Before you said, "I'm tall", i saw your knee forward of the fairing when you went to shift it. I've always thought these things look like fun to take a spin on, but not own.

I have a Grom & my son has the Papio , both 22s we love our bike and we can pull good sizes hills in 5th for me & 6th for him .

I had a little fan kpm200 that i liked a lot but the bike became gutless after i installed a larger spricket on the front to help with the high torque on lower gears, top speed, and better fuel economy. I predict that the bike will stop bogging down but you will suffer higher fuel economy and lower top speeds. But it may make the bike more usable. When i get one of these bikes im gonna try it.

Funny how you didn't like the Grom mirrors, but your Papio right mirror was screwed the whole time. hahaha. And do you always ride with your brights on? I have a Papio and had to tighten that right mirror. I don't know what's up with that 6th gear, but it doesn't seem any different than 5th to me.

You would have to shift more often, which would slow you down.

There's a dealer near me with leftover 2023 CFMoto Papio's for $1999 and a different dealer with leftover 2023 Honda XR150L's for $2495. I think they reach a similar market and I'm going to check both of them out. Hard to beat for the money... I wish the Grom, or even more the Monkey, was less expensive... probably better build quality than either of the bikes I mentioned but really for less than $3k I'm not going to nitpick.

I don’t think anybody ever thought they were off-road bikes.

Papio sounds like it has a giant marble in the top end.

I'm not going to say you're wrong about always having to be in the right gear or ride it like a 2-stroke, but the thing is, it's not your bike. Once you own something you get used to how it feels and learn what it likes/dislikes...and you kind of get into a rhythm with a bike. Bot bashing your opinion or assessment, just saying it's tough when you ride a lot of different bikes, especially ones that are underpowered

The CF Moto Papio is like any other motorcycle but the Grom is not.

My papio has 3000 miles and will hit 70 but will do 65 all day

This dude doesn’t know that you’re supposed to ring out the grom thru the gears to hit true top speed, poser
