Most of the other CRV headlight replacement videos show either the replacement happening with parts of the car taken out so there is room to film which is super unhelpful. Even those that don’t take parts out show the other side cause there is more room to film (which side the wheel is on differs by country/which side of the road you drive on). My main problem was how to find the fixture, what it looks like from above & how to get it done in the tight space you have so this was amazingly helpfully, I finally know where to find the low beam light is, thank you!

This video is basically “headlight swap for dummies”, which is exactly what I needed. The pics with the descriptions were super helpful. Just so everyone knows, this works on the older cr-v’s too. Exactly the same!

The only other thing I know how to do on a vehicle is check the oil level and add oil. Well done! I also learned at the auto parts store that it is important to wear gloves when handling halogen bulbs.

Great video and explanation! I was very hesitant to replace the headlight bulb myself after reading the official Honda manual, and was going to take my car to the dealer, but after watching the video carefully, and following your instructions, I was able to replace the bulb in approximately 15 minutes! The hard part is engaging that clip! I replaced the driver side bulb, so the space was much more limited, and I had to be careful not to hit the bulb against any surface. But other than that, your instructions saved the day! Thank you for taking the time to make this video. You have helped many people!

Thank you so much for this video. I successfully changed my driver side headlight. Your video was the best one showing that $%#%% clip, that is such a pain to deal with. It unclips easily enough, but trying to fasten it again after the new bulb is put in is a real challenge, since you can't really see what you doing, just doing it by "feel". Again to anyone else doing this, be SURE to wear a latex or other light glove. If you touch the bulb with bare skin, the oil from your body will kill the bulb very quickly. A few years back Honda changed a headlight bulb on my wife's Accord. It didn't last one day. I took it back and they replaced it again. Apparently they mechanic touched the glass bulb the first time around. At least Honda made good on the repair at no further cost!

Very helpful video! I see you're wearing latex gloves--this is for a reason which you probably know, but I didn't see it mentioned in the video. Obviously, the gloves will help keep your hands clean, but more importantly, you do not want to touch these bulbs with your bare fingers since any oils from your skin will cause the bulbs to fail prematurely.

I recommend spraying any rubber components (like the boot that goes around the bulb) with silicone spray. It helps to keep it pliable, and helps to prevent dry rot. Of course do not get anything on the glass part of the bulb including finger prints.. Only handle the metal part of the bulb.
