  • @adambergen7250

    @adambergen7250

    2 жыл бұрын

    The manual says to use the same stuff, but in a bike with separate engine and gearbox, there are a lot of good reasons to run fluids more specific to the task. The transmission runs a lot cooler than the engine, and a high quality ATF is good for a wet clutch transmission. And for the engine, you can take advantage of a lot of higher end synthetic oils that you otherwise couldn’t run in a shared oil setup because of friction modifiers.

    Dude the HP Trans Oil bottle has a notice on the label that says "Pro Honda HP Trans Oil is formulated for the use in 2-stroke transmissions only." You just put it in a 4-stroke motor. The owners manual suggests "Pro Honda HP Trans oil, Pro Honda GN4 or HP4 (without molybdenum additives) 4-stroke engine oil or an equivalent. Viscosity SAE 10W-40." You might want to point that out in case the 80W/85W may ruin someone's transmission.

    Your transmission oil is actually your motor oil and your motor oil is actually your transmission oil. Great video but I'm afraid you got it backwards..

    J&B Nelson Nah dude have i do this exact method for my ‘13 crf i use 10w-40 pro synthetic for engine oil and 80/85 pro honda transmission oil for the tranny side. The bottle literally says transmission oil on it. Handbook even tells you that. Ik you can also run the same engine oil in each side of the cases if thats whats ur talkin ab.

    @@redrider2503 OK COOL! I Was Looking For This Answer Because On The Manual, The Trans/Engine Oil Reads The Same. So It's Cool That I Use The Same? Mobile 1 4T.

    Mr Orchard Beach Personally that method is not preferred. Most swear by pro honda trans oil 80/85 which i do as well and pro honda 5w-40 or 10w-40 engine oil depending on the temperature where you live. Theres tons of youtube videos and forums online describing it more detailed hope this helps.

    Yo 4wheelfunBros ? check out synlube motor oil. They use it in NASA and on the rover robot on Mars. it last about 100,000 miles or 10 years or more. Also check out, a waterless coolant call "EVANS cooling systems", you never have to change it. you can buy "EVANS cooling systems" on Amazon but Synlube you have to call in and order here the website below. www.synlube.com/Search.html
