I had one of these. Now I have 2 Husqvarna's, a 2-stroke, and a lightweight adventure bike. As soon as these break I'll go back to the Honda again. Such fond memories of this little bike.
This is probably the most popular all-rounder in australia, I cant fault it, especially when bikes with more features and power have broken down and left friends behind. Great video.

Perfect for the road but not off road at speed. That being said I've owned both 300l and the rally and if the LS version comes to Australia then I'll admit I'd buy another for the road.

Excellent vid. That cable across the dash would really annoy the shit out of me 😁. Awesome track you have found 👍

Every time you review a bike I then need to go buy it. My garage in London is getting full of new bikes. Thanks for doing all this for us Ananda!!! Cheers
My favorite are the dual head lamps, those tiny light bulbs are amazing
Great video, wish you luck in your YT adventures!
Great review! I'm looking for some easier trails to start out on. What road number is that one?
Love the road. Just what dual sports were designed for. I have the Rally version as I ride over a hour to reach the forest trails near me. Enjoyed the ride. Best!
Great review. I really enjoyed the trail parts, it was relaxing.
Great comprehensive review, I love my 300l, its such a nimble bike, I think the original setup for light that comes out on the dashboard it tells you that bike starts to consume more fuel after the light comes on ,so it helps to maintain a good fuel economy
You're living my dream, getting to dual-sport with your love ❤ I have just ordered my 300L. Waiting for it 😊

Awesome. The best advice I can give if you go off road is to change tyres (606 Dunlop or similar I went and it was a different bike after that). Enjoy your bike
I do bush roads on my CRF LS as in a short rider same engine love it
Hi ananda great video, I have the 300 rally, I see yours got a wider/bigger tires ? Mine , the stock ones are thinner, can u tell me if u got new ones ??
For someone who just getting started with a KZread channel, you are doing more than good! Keep going. I believe you will be successful. It is because you come across as authentic. You are also funny and have a cute personality. Your content doesn't contain fluff which is great. Continue! I can't wait for the next video!
Thanks for this review, Ananda. I have my eye on one of those. Going to take it out to New Mexico so I can write it around the boonies with my grandson. I’ve got a big ADV bike. I ride it here in Texas, but it’s too big, too heavy and really, too much of a hassle to ride a lot of off-road.
I think this type of duel sport bike review would be better if you included some single track riding Keep up the good work 👍
I ride one in the UK the Rally one with bigger tank and more fairings to break, mainly used for the TET and commuting, it's fantastic! Rarely see others on the road, too slow for most I think.
I enjoy that you are being quiet. I love to hear the sound of the engine. I’ve been thinking about getting a used CB 300 R for these type of adventures. Do you think that small street bike suspension could handle easy roads like this? I like to ride gravel roads. At 62 years old I’m finding out that my mind is writing checks my body can’t cash.😂
@AnandaNineOne

I promise I’ll be more quiet next time! 🤣 I don’t think a street bike’s suspension could handle that terrain without being brutal on the bike and on you as a rider. I highly recommend the XR150R if you want something small, cheap and reliable! There’s a video about the bike here on my channel, but I didn’t take it off roading!

I didn't know they made an L model until today. Looks nice and that was an amazing trail ride.
Got mine from new October 2023, few upgrades done, absolutely love this bike, I'm out more on this than I am my Triumph Tiger 900 Rally Pro. Amazing looking trail, beware of those drop-offs, they look a long way down, I've already had the misfortune of coming off on the deep side, some minor damage to the bike that cost me £175 & bruises for souvenirs 😂, take care, looking forward to seeing more 👍
@Fromatic
3 ай бұрын
What damage cost you £175? As I've dropped mine many times now on the lanes and even when it's rocky it's only been snapped front brake lever before I had hand guards, a bent rear brake lever and snapped indicators replaced now with micro LED ones all round, but all that must have only cost maybe £60 in replacement parts
@mototripperuk

@@Fromatic the black plastic underneath the rear fender that also holds the rear indicator, that part set's you back £145, then there's the new indicators & new reg plate, all adds up to £175.

@@mototripperuk wow surprisingly pricey, how did you break that bit out of interest? I did put the j-tech tail tidy on which may have helped keep things out the way, but you mentioning the plate does remind me on a recent Wales trip I went down and still ripped the plate off, replaced it with a flexible one from Flexi plates which adds another £15 to my replacement parts

I was on a trail that got smaller the further along it I went, there was a drop to the left and an incline to the right, it started to get too narrow and rocky to go any further, however I'm a novice at off road and don't have the skills to turn the bike round in such a small space, so had no choice but to go forward, the bike hit a rock and knocked me off on the drop to the left, bike was okay at this point, when I tried to get the bike up I couldn't due to its position, had to drag it round to face the way I came and that's when the damage occurred.

@@mototripperuk ah sounds a bit of a nightmare scenario being forced to continue into a more and more difficult/risky situation, sounds lucky you got out relatively unscathed minus the replacement part.
I think I'd really like one of these CRF! If I weren't so invested in vintage machines, I'd probably get one. I love that bike. I just don’t get the long break cable over the dash. My Crf 250l had the same one and I found it so annoying.
In response to mention of no skid plate. Even though you are not grinding over boulder's, log's etc. It is quite possible for the front tire to send a rock into the engine case and put you out of business. Zip tie a piece of thin aluminum or steel on there temporarily until you get a good one on it. Have fun.

Rev limiter is red light. Great video and I love red hate gray. Lol
i think its wild that I am that dude on the sport bike, going upwards of 40mph sometimes, zipping between cars in heavy and backed up traffic nearly every day, but watching you ride that gravelly trail at 25mph so close to the edge of that mountain causes me anxiety. I guess its time I learned how to ride in the dirt, because the views just seem to get better as the video goes on.
That motorcycle is the LS model with ABS for the US market. The seat height is 32.7". 9.3 inches of front fork travel and 9 inches rear suspension. At 130lbs the bike is sprung perfectly for you. Adjust your rear suspension sag and fork height in the clamp and you're good to go.

Agreed on all points, just wish they made a 400 or a 450 version so u can ride it safely for longer stretches on the california freeways if needed. 73mph wont cut it… And no the crf450RL doesnt count as thats an enduro. The 300 is a dual sport.

Where are you? That's not Rowher Flats. Great review. I've been looking at this bike. My wife just got an XT250 and I'm looking for an enduro to join her. The T7 is overkill and way heavier than I'd like for day trips like this.

Looks like Castiac. There's also a cool ride off the N2 that I used to do that takes you to Lake Hughes. We'd ride out there and have lunch at the local biker bar and then ride back. As long as you weren't being stupid the local law was cool with you riding non-plated bikes into town. My wife would ride her DRZ125L and I'd ride my RM250. We'd have quads and a Honda Pilot 400 along as well. There's another route above Sunland that takes you to the east side of the mountains. Check in with the local ranger office and they'll give you the lock code for the gates up there. When I was living In Santa Clarita from '02-'05 very few people knew about it.
I got mine today.
The DR650 also has a slipper clutch. It’s probably not as light as the CRF300 but is it lighter than your XR600’s clutch?

@@AnandaNineOne thanks! I still want a DR650 but first I need sell the little DrZ125L green sticker. Three bikes are my limit right now.
Suspension is too soft, but it's an easy fix . It's better than the Kawi due to how they both did their motors . Team Green just stroked their motor. Honda did their displacement but never touched the stroke . So the Honda motor is still cheap to upgrade the motor . But team green will cost you more motor wise . But Kawi gave you a better suspension in turn .
Qtal ananda boen día disculpa una pregunta porque la moto crf 300 L no llega a México? Cuando va a llegar la moto crf 300 L a México? Disculpa ?
I put some cartridge kits in the front forks, a new rear shock and Pirelli MT21’s on mine. It made a huge difference in the off-road ability. Sad that Honda put such dismal suspension on this bike.
I prefer this color scheme. Less flashy. Isnt this the LS ? Low seat ?
@char.9101
Ай бұрын
Yes. LS is the grey one, shorter seat height
Correct me if I m wrong but this is the 300 LS not the L , the LS only comes in this color and it is a lower seat height as well for us shorties .
@uralicdneprov1806
3 ай бұрын
Model sticker at 4:37 says CRF300LDAP which should be a LS. However, in some other markets, like in Europe, standard height L comes in this grey color too. So not every grey 300L on is LS.
@uralicdneprov1806
3 ай бұрын
Just to decipher that code: L or RL stands for model (L or Rally), A stands for ABS, M/N/P stands for 2021/2022/2023. D is used for Thai domestic market which is lower seat height, and also for (U.S. only) LS model which I guess is based on that.
@Ananda NineOne how tall are you ?
its good but need a little more power to jump in the highway
Nice one Ananda 💐🌷Subscribed to your Channel 👍
The reason why I wouldn't buy another one is mine does 153/154kmh top speed. My friends bike is slower and both are stock. If I get a slower one I'd sell it same day! 73mph is not right or you have so much more to go

Man, what a nice place to ride. Wish we had mountains here in Florida. I am about to get a 300l on Sunday. Can't wait. By my job, there is a dirt bike and ATV park. But in other places, a lot of sand trails. But I also have Vtx1300c, MT-07, and a Grom. A little bit for everything.
