From personal experience, though they sound similar in the vid, on highway and between 1500-2000 drone is pretty bad with straight pipe, but the MAPerformance resonator takes that away very effectively
The 800$ exhaust sounds like a VW Golf R to be honest
The straight pipe sounds really good too. I kinda like it.
Solid video. Actually really helpful for helping me make a decision haha
Straight pipe sounds way better in my opinion!! They’re still both great

For once straight pipe is nice.
The MAP system looked like quality stuff.
Growing up I always wanted quad tips on a car because it looks cool, but having learned about pressure/sound/etc and messing with my own car, single exit ftw. Best for concentrating everything into that one point. From what I've seen that's what's best for maximizing pressure, burbly growl noises, and flames (if applicable)

@ytsucksbruh5129 not even that, just that all the exhaust tone coming from one outlet as opposed to 3 or 4 is gonna make that tone more concentrated at least from a single header motor
Man the coupe looks so much better
Straight pipe was my favourite tbh just my opinion the other sounded good too
I liked the straight piped one better 👍👍👍
What was the pipe piece you used to weld your oem tip too? I'm trying to find the right one because I'm gonna be straight piping my civic
Straight pipe with factory tip is money 👌

YAZIR, pretty sure the skr8 pipe ounds raspier, has more crackle in it compared to the MAP exhaust.
Is the factory catalytic converter still on both of these civics?
HELL YEAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I always love me some Japanese turbo! 🥋🥋🥋
Straight pipe takes the cake.
is the straight pipe catless? sorry i dont know much about
Sounded the same to me on my phone
For the cost difference honestly the straight pipe seems more worth it. It really doesn't sound much different on video at least
I think the cat back sounds better and looks better overall
I guess you can save your money 😂. Just delete the resonator and muffler for a couple hundred and you're good.
The time it takes the revs to drop, you can make a cup of coffee. THe revhang in these cars is, frankly, a big con.
The MAP exhaust sound almost stock volume wise but it is perfect for a car with crazy noise laws like California. I would not pay $800 for a 205 hp car though. Might as well let the stock. There are plenty cat-backs for the Honda Civic SI that sound better than this. And the so-called "straight pipes" sound like crap.
I’m hollowing out cats. Would it make it extremely loud considering it’s a 4 cyl turbo? I have the 20 Si

If you keep the stock resonator and mufflers, it probably won't be much different than stock
Not my cup of tea... nice work...
MAP
Only in the 2020's does a civic si and a full size Silverado sound almost the same.... 🤪 😜
Straight sounds much better. But isn’t it illegal?
The bank isn't going to like you doing that to their car

Bro honestly shut up. Well not me for my 20 Si since it’s paid off for in u see a year. Still did shit like this when it wasn’t paid for
The quad tips aren’t really necessary on an Si. Dual exhaust isn’t even really necessary for a 4 cylinder. At this point it’s just rice.

It amazes me the issues that a car can have but the owner still drops money on straight pipes instead of fixing important stuff. Oh my fault the $800 exhaust went on the car with all the issues.

For $15k I can get a 1000HP capable SRT4 long block, built transmission, twin disk clutch and 1000HP axles from DCR, $500 can get me a 1g neon and I get the satisfaction of BUILDING a supercar slayer instead of buying a "run of the mill" appliance.
