Open the cross over...There is a 2 pin area to adjust the db of the tweeter...Set the clip to the middle 2 pins. It will cut the tweeter down -2db. Also the 6.5 driver's Fs = 58.4 should be crossed at 100 hz - 120 hz and tweeter's Fs is around 1600hz so it should be crossed around 3200hz - 3500hz on your amp...Keeps the 6.5 cone from getting too boomy and the tweeter gets cleaner and smoother...

@@Mr.Thermistor7228 The matching rear coaxial speakers have a peizo tweeters and I keep them a 10 watts down from the front components due to the Peizo tweeter needing less power to get loud. With the fronts and rears at the same DB that tweeter distracts my attention to the rear speakers so I pull the power back on them about to about 50 watts and run the front components at about 60 watt per channel. I have the front tweeter all the way down in the crossover now also. It can get too bright for my taste when I play the system loud so the lowest DB in the crossover works best for me...Good luck with your audio system. These speakers are great price to performance when dialed in correctly...

Year n half or so I installed a set of thes 6.5 blue components in my 95 mustang, I popped one of my infinity 5x7s money was tight and I had never heard of recoil but they were super cheap so I rolled the the dice because they were intended to be temporary, well I was really impressed especially for a $35 (at the time) set of components. But recently I grabbed a recoil 600.4 a/b amp that was $84 3 weeks ago now $140! Anywho I just out of curiosity i bought there tippy top premium set the SAM65s 2 way which are drop dead gorgeous they were $220 but they haven't sold as good as they had hoped so there on clearance for $120 shipped from Patrick at robot and like $135 from recoil. And wow they sound soooo good, (the echos sounded way better on a bigger amp also) now I'm redoing my caravan that has my higher end system with 2 custom 400oz 15s I built, a 5000w cab45 amp at .5 ohm and 3 way active front stage with DSP running 6.5" silver flutes, 4" Dayton reference mids and repurposed home Klipsch tweeters and 64ah lithium headway battery. I want to try something and was going to buy another set of the 2way SAMs and there premium 3.5" midrange but Patrick reminded they have a new not even on there site 3way set called the echo pro rpm365 (also have 2 way version the rpm265). It also is a beautiful set of components so now I'm torn, same price $160 Patrick with a discount on the 3.5 mid,. But I'm still thinking of going sam's because they may be gone for good soon the rpm's are new so be around for awhile I'm assuming. But every day I'm so impressed with the sam's in my car, you play high quality music like in the air tonite and it just is so clean and clear definitely ear candy. I also have the budget gem Wlldse 12" HCY subs (there better line) on a AP 1800.1 at half ohm with a 24ah headway lithium I put together. But short story long the sam's are killer espy for $120 untill there gone.... Check em out they are as beautiful as they sound...

Great video where did you get your amp rack from to set your gains get the SMD SD1 1k for the mids and highs 40hz for subs

A multimedia is good but it's not as accurate but you can still use it if you going to use a multimeter 1K for the missing highs and a 40 HZ test tone for the subs

Hey, are they still holding up? Just ordered a pair for myself. Reviews on these are really good for the most part, but I've read a couple reviews about them poping and crackling after a few weeks.

THE Fs of the mid range driver is 60hz...Don't expect it to last long if your giving it a ton of power. It's a 1 inch voice coil thats going to over heat and go booom...I'm High Pass crossing them at 120hz 12db roll off to it's Fs of 60hz...I can feed them all the power I want up to 100 watts doing it this way and they get loud, stay in contol, and put out plenty of mid range punch. Your subwoofer should be doing all the heavy lifting from 80hz down...

JBL doesn't have a chance if you tune these Recoil ECHO REM 6.5 components and the RCX 6.5 coaxials. I'm running them on the Recoil DI550.4 amp and they are just phenominal for the price. I'm high filter crossing them on the amp at 120hz and I have the tweeters crossed over to the lowest db on the 2 pin in their crossovers...I'm giving the front components 60 watts per channel and the rear door coaxial about 50 watts per channel for rear fill. The front tweeters image amazingly, the 6.5 front woofer plays clean, articulate, and has mid bass slap. If your expecting heavy bass out of these speaker THEY are not that at all...But if you want them to play mids they kick ass. Your subwoofer should do the heavy lifting bass wise on 80hz or below. Expecting BASS from a 6.5 inch woofer is a joke as it is a MID FREQUENCY DRIVER... My 12inch 1 ohm Stinger subwoofer in their Stinger ported box (It's tuning frequency is 35hz)(subsonic filter set to 30hz on the amp), on their Stinger MT1000.1 mono block pound out the 80hz frequencies all the way down to 28hz...I'm get over 100 SPL out of this set up at 65% volume from my head unit...Recoils are one of the BEST price to performance speakers on the market but you need to tune them correctly for the best results...
