Are young going in through the middle or from the driver's side? When I saw the oil filter I was like wow, I never knew it was so close to it. I thought it was on the driver's side really high, which I actually do this it is. It's right under the intake manifold or something. I would go mess with mine tomorrow if I could do it from the engine bay.

Sorry you have to look underneath the engine. It is close to oil filter.

Took longer to put the Civic on jack stands than to replace the valve.

okay so i was doing a head gasket replacement with a friend and we couldnt get this hose off so we cut it. i tried to tape it back together but it made the car run terrible. it had rough idle and couldn’t make any power. i just replaced the hose last night but it still has no power. maybe too much oil got into the intake? how can i get the oil out without taking the intake off

Hi Jay how you doing? The pcv it shouldn’t effect your power, did you change your valve cover gasket or your head gasket, if you change your head gasket check your timing or if you have the right torque spec on your head bolt

Yes if you change the head gasket and you need to make sure also that your timing is right,

I have to change the Pcv hose that it connects with because it won’t pry off the PCV valve itself

is the pcv valve for 2002-2012 will fit for 2001 model coz that what is available in the market,tnx

If it's a 1.7L (VTEC or No VTEC), it's the same part

If no engine light is on you still have to replace the pcv valve? Also my car throws/spits oil on engine cover or air filter box sometimes is it because of pcv valve?

If the pcv valve is not working properly, it will not throw any Code because it’s a mechanical no sensor, if it’s really bad it could trigger a code for different issues, you can try to remove and check the pcv valve by shaking it if you don’t feel the inside move back and forth freely it’s definitely the pcv valve is bad.

@@asteiner9181 I am not too sure. I bought the pcv but didn't install it. I think it's coming from the Throttle body area something near the map sensor. What I also noticed everyttime i do an oil change it mostly does that sometimes other times too. It's not doing at the moment thank god. But the good thing is no check engine light. So anyway one guy told me don't mess with them too much unless an engine light shows up. I spend alot of money on the car like timing belt, crank seals, water pump, valve cover gasket, new spark plugs, serpentine ac belts, power steering fluid, brake, tranny, oil change, filters cabin plus air, coolant etc. I love the car tho especially the steering wheel ...recently I bought the fuel injector liquid and throwed in the gas tank. Noticed significant improved from 12 to 15km/liters. The shit is working I guess...sure it does Leaks here and there but fun to drive ...

U think this could help no oil leaks but lossage of oil

I forgot the size of that hose, but you can just take the old one and bring it to the parts store to match it so you can get the right size of that hose. Thanks for watching my video.

Mario Cyr, Hi Mario thanks for the question, actually just change the pcv valve for just regular maintenance, the car was bought use and the owner just wanted to change it, regarding on your car by just changing the pcv valve is not gonna help a lot on the oil leak, specially if you have a really bad oil leak, you need to fix the oil leak it self.

Make sure you check the valve gasket and the spark plug gaskets (also in the valve cover). I have tons of oil sitting in my spark plug wells that don't help the spark plugs nor the coil packs. Finally got to changing them out due to Toronto weather.

That is a EGR code, you might need to check your EGR valve if is functioning properly, that’s one possible cause and the other one cause is the ports going through the intake manifold it could be clogged, if is clogged it could give that code also

​@@junfam24 thank you bro, i clean out all the ports and put new gasket by the mani and the blue gaskets on the mani, cleaned out everything nice and clean and put it back together, i know i didnt need to change the pcv valve and the 2 sensors by the egr, i forgot the name of it, i also swapped out my egr for an skp egr, p0401 cleared out, the o2 sensors are working, p0404 went away long enough to pass my smog but came back a week later, now im tryna figure out what could it be, p0404 code comes on and goes away and comes on again, idk what could it be

@@3rdeyeoracle434 that’s good your able to pass the smog, but I think you can look up some videos also on how to diagnose the EGR code.

Dude... You could've at least zoomed out for a second so I'd know how the camera is orientated and what the valve is next to.... Zooming into the valve doesn't help much if I have no idea what it's next to...
