Honda CBR300R | Cruising On The Interstate

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

Today I bring you guys some interstate riding on the 300. I know this is a common question for potential 300cc owners; "how will the bike fair on the highway?". So I figured I'd bring some interstate riding to the channel. Hope you guys enjoy it!

    2 years with my 300R and I still love it. I remember people telling me "you'll get bored of this bike quickly". They were dead wrong. This bike STILL turns heads wherever I go.

    Brand new rider here. Just bought the 2022 CBR300r. I just hit the road& freeway for the first time this yesterday morning. I was riding about 76mph in 4th gear and I felt out of control. It was very very windy where I was at. Other than that I really enjoyed my first ride. I stalled on the streets 3 times. I haven’t quite figured out how to roll out from a stop light yet lol

    Bro I’ve been ridin a cbr300r for 3 years now if I’m going 70 I’m in 6th gear..I’ve noticed so many people shift so late..it’s crazy to me because I shift up like every 8 mph and reach 6th gear by 37 mph..I shift when the motor gets loud and sounds under pressure. Have I been shifting too early all these years lol?

  • @mrbishop833

    @mrbishop833

    @@drapermike you can shift much later. Every 8 mph is pretty quick. I’ve pulled 3rd gear up to 50mph. Just gotta start getting comfortable taking it into the high rpm’s.

    @@kevinc2332 yeah I have to count my gears in my head since there’s no indicator. Hitting 6th gear, for me, is like in the 90 something miles an hour and I haven’t gotten comfortable with that yet. I don’t have a license yet. I have to ask my 1SG to put me in course. I taught myself what I could to get on and ride but I still need help with rev matching and shifting smoother.

    Nice Bishop. I love that CBR300r. I can forgive any drawbacks the displacement has. Honda just knows refinement; even in their 300 class.

    16 years of driving a car and over 250k miles and now i decided to get into riding. I can’t get rid off the “riding in the middle of the lane” issue when i drive my bike lol i subconsciously do it and i know i need to stick either on the left or right of the lane to be seen. Btw i got the same black CBR300R 2018 model with less than 1k miles and i love it

    I also have a CBR300R. It runs about 150km/h / 93m/h topspeed on the Autobahn. It might run a bit faster with someone lighter riding it. I'm 5'11" and about 210lbs.

    Great ride man! I chose the CBR300R when I took my two day MSF course. What a fun little bike! It's so lightweight! My bike felt like a tank when I got home and rode it after lol. I think I'm going to change out my sprockets so the rpm's are lower in my gears on my Suzuki GSX650F... Bone stock, verified via GPS, at 60 mph in 6th gear, my bike is screaming at 5,300 rpm's! Most sportbikes are at 4,000 or lower rpm in 6th at 60. My 650 is a big bike weighing 531 pounds wet, and has a 12,500 rpm redline with it's 86 HP / 46 LB-FT... I still get 50+ mpg on the highway, and it has a large 5.0 gallon tank... Going with taller gearing would probably get me well over 300 miles a tank, plus less vibration and noise from it's 656cc Inline-4. Anyway, thanks for posting this! I gave it a like, and I'll subscribe after this comment. Safe travels man, -Chris

    I see this video is a few years old, but I recently purchased a CBR300R. I've been riding, on and off, for over 30 years, and wanted something to commute with occasionally. This bike is fun to ride. It has plenty of power for what I use it for. Mostly city, very little highway. Thanks for the video!

    I'm surprised by how decent this bike is on the interstate. It handles well. Just sits at quite the high rpm which I personally wouldn't want to have it at for an extended period of time.

    I will be picking up a 2018 CBR300R monday, was wanting to see a bit more on how the bike rides, and it seems to be fine. I'm a new rider, just licensed, but this bike should be great for what I need and is still powerful enough for interstate rides. Thanks for the video. Also what state are you located in to have a Casey's? I've never seen a motorcycle video on KZread with a Casey's in it, but I have a lot of them around me, and they are going to be my main gas station stops when I finally get on the road.

    Your engine on your bike is the same as on the Honda Rebel; Yes? You're doing 70+ on the Interstate and it seems fine to me...I'd be doing 60-65 myself; It is a "thumper", but Your 70mph seems OK to me. If You need to push it a little sometimes; Well, so be it...I'm interested in Your bike type; I'm 65 years old, and I still want to ride...

    They dont mind high rpms, just keep an eye on the oil level because she will loose a smidge on the highway because of the high revs. As long as it has oil, it will be ok.
