WOW. just wow. i’ve been playing a game with the nurburgring- tourist track in it lately, and its so much fun, but its so hard , and also hard to remember all the turns. but HOLY SH**! what you just did on a bike? thats literally mind-blowing, i hope to be such an experienced rider like you one day, i truly felt so much adrenaline and even a little sweat 😂 i thought i was fast in some lamborghini on a racegame, but this is beyond impressive haha. never really comment either, but this just deserves to know my opinion about it because goddamn i just LOVE this, so much respect for you, and ride safe if you’re still riding ✌🏼

Aris Konstantinidis : the electronic steering damper on the cbr does a very good job, the shaking is almost always very controllable

Sub 7 was the goal but only 7min05 was possible when I added up all sector times with this bike. Sub 7 is doable with newer generation bikes on a sunny Sunday morning.

Great driver great bike what a pleasure to watch this harmony. Relaxed driving skills great weight distributed by bike plus driver. Good reflexes plus situation awareness I guess. But the speed is scary if something goes wrong. I feel I can ride safely up to 120 kmph almost safe in trafic on my 750 shadow(not racebike but little sporty drifting😆 but lately I have kind of realized this bike isn't for me when the saddle have began to scar the petrol tank and iv been forced to use silver tape to prevent it but I love the looks and it's a little cruiser to) but it's the surprise moments I think of this is a raceway. what if you hit a oil spot? it can be very scary i think and if you freeze oh man. and this is fast man. Safety first cheers from Sweden.

Ahh, this must be annoying if you are sitting in your 150K Porsche and get easily outperformed by a 15K Bike :D

Main differences from your riding perspective in between your 1000rr and your previous 954rr? What changes did each bike have? Do you feel the 954 with a potential better handling due to its lower weight and smaller distance in between axis? Great great rides...congrats!!!

You are fast sharp accurate and despite the terrific laptime also safe And if I can say probably you will reduce more that 5 seconds without trafic And could be also near 7.0x or also 6.5x reducing your safety exploiting near 100% of your superb bike and setup and super tires. But my unuseful suggestion is THIS IS ENOUGH. Chapeau and congrats from an old near ex biker.

R-power : thx ;-) theoretical laptime of combined sectors without traffic was 7min05. With more power a sub 7min lap is definitely possible.

respect, i ride in about 8:30 with s1000rr '10 and from onboard it's starting to feel like I have a good pace, not fast but good. I have no idea whatsoever on how it feels to ride 1 min and 15 secs faster, moreover I always ride there in august... really fun to watch. Which tires do you use in october temperature?

Horsemanhorseman : in colder weather the metzeler k2 and k3 are better. if you drive in public Roads as well i'd definitely go for the k3's. pirelli's are also great but just too expensive... the new continental semi slicks are also supposed to be really good and pricewise they can't be beaten.

Epic riding! I am returning to the Ring next year and will be riding it again. How do you compare Supercorsa tyres with the Metzeler K1? Thanks!

Joe Sheehan : thanks man, hard to say as i was driving 190 supercorsa's sc2's vs 200 metzeler's. what i can say is that the metzeler's k1 is a fantastic tire for the ring. with the 200 you can go on the gas a lot quicker. the supercorsa's do have a Faster corner entry and are more stable under Trail braking. The supercorsa's sc2 go off very quickly. you need a soft tire for the ring. 'never tried the sc1 rear tire though.. with the k1 i was able to do 11laps vs 6laps on the sc2. Best regards.

Throw away your timer and just ride against yourself. The best ride days are those that go perfectly with little to do with speed if you ever bother to check. We mere mortals are pleased to see everyone can find a false neutral in a Honda box. It doesn't feel right riding a bike with a feather touch and precision while kicking the thing around the box to get the gear you want. Nice ride by the way.

Any track will do, no? I bet willow springs is a lot safer 😉 love the 954 but it was lacking power for the Nürburgring.. Fitted it with a suter slipper clutch and it was even more awesome. Enjoy!

Which tires do you have on your bike?

In Italy we said "mecojoni" , which means "holy shit" . Notwithstanding you're damn fast your drive is very clean, but ... between brunchen 1 and 2 you take always the kerb in that manner?

I wonder how fast you can go with the new modern rr-r fireblade.. With all the electronics to finely adjust to perfection and the chassis suspension geometry making bends a breeze, with 215 horsepower too. You'd be able to destroy supercars with the top of the line stuff!
