Honda CB1300 | Ride & Review | Honest Review | Brutal Truth | Is Old Really Gold?
A review that offers the brutal truth about Honda's mucsle bike that stands tall after 17 years, maybe? but is it all that it's cracked out to be in today's time and place, where power bikes are much more common.
A look at its aesthetics, its power house the engine, its handling and anything else that a potential buyer might need to consider.
The big question is this bike had its day or is it here to stay❓

@@masoodchaiwala1694 hello
Oh God the engine, the engine! I owned the 1300s from new for 12 wonderful years (34.000 miles) before selling it last year owing to bloody arthritis. Everything said in this fine video is true, but really, don't worry about the weight. This Honda corners superbly at speed and I've always felt that its weight helps hold a firm, tight line before you accelerate into oblivion. (And its much easier to push than a 650 Bergman!) I never, ever wished to be riding anything else, so, following my hip operation I shall buy another. Mine was a 2008 model 1300s, black with gold wheels, ABS and the half fairing. I agree with many who are not keen on the fairing's style but it really deflects the wind during long trips despite its small size. I cover 2000 holiday miles in France every year and nothing ever went wrong with this bike, home or abroad, true fact! The engine is simply a masterpiece. It always starts immediately , is completely happy at low speeds and then pulls like an express train until that Porsche Cayenne filling your mirror is reduced to a dot. I have not found the roads in England to truly enjoy the Honda's abilities but French D roads are sublime. So my friends, for the ultimate in two wheeled pleasure and loyal companionship, treat yourself to a CB1300. And then spend a week in France!

Wow I loved your comment, it's so true you can rely on this engine like money in the bank, I find its weight good for me as im 6 foot and 100kg, so I agree it plants the bike well on the road, truly a masterpiece of engineering ❤️, thanks again for your great words 🙏👍👌

@@Bykersam You're most welcome, I hope to be back in the CB1300 club by the end of the year. keep up the great work!
A motorcycle that continues to bring me immense joy every time I hop on for a ride. Is more than just a motorcycle; it's a cherished companion that continues to exceed my expectations. Its powerful yet refined engine, classic '80s-inspired design, ABS brakes, elegant colors, gold rims, unwavering reliability, and vibration-free performance make it an absolute joy to own and ride. It's a motorcycle that brings a smile to my face every time I twist the throttle, and I can't imagine parting with it. Here's to many more miles of pure riding pleasure on my CB 1300 S!

I purchased my CB1300 in 2003 and I still own it. It is now 20 years and 4 months old. It is one of the nicest bikes I have owned, and I've owned plenty. I take issue with your specifications though. When I purchased my CB1300, Honda stated that it was rated at 114 hp and weighed in at 224 kilos. Things are probably different now but that's what it was then, as I say according to Honda. Other than that thanks for a decent video, keep up the good work.

I have the cb1300 and the gsx1400, I love the muscle bikes, agreed the weight maybe a little off, but overall I do say these muscle bikes are the best I've ever kept
I have the smaller version CB400SF with the in-line 4 VTEC motor. And I must say, for a small bike, it's a real peach of a motor and can easily do 0-100kph just under 5 seconds, and tops out around 195kph with my 100kgs with gear. I've always liked these bikes. Mine is 2009, and still runs like an Ox, unstoppable.

This is the best motorcycle review I ever heard. Words flow from your heart capture the spirit of this CB1300 to it's core. I'm so happy to see all the upgrades including the ABS braking. Very few people on earth can take this bike to the edge of it's limits. All those who acquire this fine work of art had better have the highest respect for it's power or they will find themselves in the promised land in a heartbeat.

Got myself same bike few weeks ago. Super smooth. Don't find issue with weight. For me it dances like a ballerina even at walking pace. Also experience with fuel consumption is different so far. 300+ km before going on reserve. 16 to 18 ltrs per km. driving easy going with the odd 'explosion'. Short runs Find it vibrating though and do agree that it should have an additional 6th gear.

So very true, the old muscle bikes because retro looking, never really leave the minds of avid bike fans, I always wanted a cb500 which I got my UK license but now I'm older and I want the best CB available and so this is the only one for me in a reasonable budget 👍
I agree with the negative aspects. I own a 2003 CB 1300F and the fuel consumption is horrible in the city with 10-11 Liters/100km. On the highway you can count with 6 Liters and on country roads around 7. Also the heat it produces, if you ever get stuck in an unavoidable traffic jam, is considerable. But I love the bike. As a teenager I wanted to own one of the 4 japanese muscle bikes and I did so. I am not willing to sell it or switch any time soon.

Great review. I've never got to ride the Honda but owned the Yamaha XJR 1200 for 19 years. The same naked muscle bike style. And yes that longed for a sixth gear also. So I hear you on that one haha. Both great bikes with endless Torque and power. I just love Japanese they know how to hook you in to them 👍

I absolutely agree with you, the torque and power definitely makes you think twice before you pull back the throttle fully. The other thing I really like about this Waine is that it has a look which makes you feel you are riding a classic, and feeling good on a bike up lifts confidence and that can never be discounted. Great comment and XJR is love ❤️❤️❤️

Gsx 1400 -6 gears - 400km with 1 tank, about 5lit/100km. 0.5lit more than gsxr 600 in same riding condition. Don't have abs on gsx either ,no need it. I added few chargers on my bike. Weight is something you get used to. Gsx has more torque and more low and middle power, and have made +40 000km with chain/sprocket set. Also, last year, i have made 920km in one day 👍
