I watched this review when it was recent and I just knew I had to get my hands on this black edition CB1000R. I could not get it 2 years ago because there weren't really available where I live so I decided to wait and so I did just that. Now, 2 years later I am happy to share that I finally got one and oh Boy, was the wait worth it. Thank you Guys for this fantastic video on this Gem of a Motorcycle.

In terms of design, the Honda CB1000R seems very accomplished. Cool bike! If I were a young man who practiced martial arts, and rode blistering fast motorcycles, the Black Edition would definitely have been high on my wish list. and it's a Honda, so you know it's of amazing quality. I took one for a test ride a couple of weeks back, absolutely stunning machine. My ride home on my VFR800 after seemed like it was navigating through treacle. @@gregory7720 Absolutely smitten! Every movement is almost telepathic. You think it, the bike reacts immediately. Only gripe is the location of the horn button. So infuriating riding around hooting like an absolute twat. I sold my 2017 GSX-S750 to get this but still have a 2017 V-Strom 650XT as a daily driver. Will take time to aclamatize. But the performance is out of this world! Especially seeing that I sold my GSX last August.

Hello, I am also a veteran rider, I have been riding motorcycles for over 38 years, and among many of the motorcycles I have owned are, in order, the Honda CB 250, CB 500 and CB 900 HORNET. I am currently voluntarily retired from motorcycling, and have a Vespa from the 90s and a Honda Forza 350 to work with. I have seen many videos of motorcycles, but watching your video has encouraged me to return to the road, from what I have seen, the characteristics of the CB 1000 R are very similar to those of the CB 900 HORNET, but improved in power and in electronic aids, and reduced weight. Aesthetically it is brutal. At the end of July, at the Honda dealer in my city (Valencia, Spain), I had ordered an X ADV to replace my Forza 350 (scooter = scooter) that they were going to bring me in a few months. They had a beautiful red CB 1000 R in stock, but I didn't initially consider it to be my everyday bike. I went to the dealer this morning and asked for a test. They didn't have the CB 1000 R to test, but they did have the CB 650 R (I tried it the year it came out but there was a lot of delay in delivery) and I've driven about 40 miles on all kinds of roads, even in the city. A true delight, but for me it lacked the plus that the CB 900 HORNET gave me, so I have concluded that my everyday motorcycle is going to be the CB 1000 R. And the best: I am back on the road. Thank you very much for your way of informing, it is direct and pleasant. Keep going.

Thanks for a great video. Picking up a 2019 silver/black cb1000r on Saturday. The black version is “too black” for me but love the black/silver look with the red rear shock. Moving from a Daytona 675 (which I ve loved) but at the age of 60 finding the Daytona riding position is getting a little too extreme for longer distances. See how I get on but I m sure I’ll love it. lol! I’m at that midway point in my journey on the way to that Fireblade. I’ve finally figured out that in spite of loving the looks of cruisers, I prefer riding nakes and sports bikes. That was an expensive lesson, but I’m loving riding my “midway” bike, the Triumph 765. Triumph dealerships here where I’m at are really far between though, so as much as a 1200rr would be a great next step, this Honda is on my radar so I don’t have to drive 1.5 hours to get service! The Honda really is gorgeous.

Enjoyable video to watch on a wet Friday pm. Good to see that your thatch is in good nick, & the green paintwork is standing up to the weather we're having. Hadn't realised you were local to me - I often ride the roads around Uppingham, Harborough & that winding route up to Melton Mowbray. Can't wait for some sunshine so I can get out there on my new RE Conti GT 650. The CBR? Lovely - I had one of the originals (2009 plate) & it was all the bike you would need - fast, stylish, comfy - & with the cachet of a fireblade motor. This new one is a worthy replacement but, like many new bikes, I don't think I've seen a single one on the road which is a shame.

Hi fellas, I enjoyed hearing your thoughts on this bike from a cruiser background rather than the usual scratchers found on KZread - I am a scratcher btw! - & I’ve seen a few of your posts now but just to ride is the experience we all have in common. What keeps me coming back is the easygoing personable way you both deliver your views on a machine on the road. So to grow your channel I’d suggest contacting an established user like missenden flier for a collaboration, I think you’d get along

BUT.. the 650R has a nice smooth engine.. and it is fast.. I like the Hornet because it is a lighter bike and more nimble.. and no matter whatever reviews you read the Hornet is Brilliant.. Informative video. Thanks for taking the time to make it. Is there anything in this bike that would make you think twice about longer distance touring with it? Any particular vibrations at higher speeds? Would you recommend - crash bars - radiator guard - skid-plate (if there is such a thing) - windshield for longer term ownership? This bike in is my short list for the next season to be added into my stable. I currently ride a Fireblade SP.

Thanks buddy. We don’t know too much about what accessories are available but I’m sure there’s plenty. It would be fine for touring, especially as you are used to a Fireblade. Of course, a Goldwing would be the ultimate tourer, but I guess you prefer the look and acceleration of this

Currently running the cb650r, the 1000's definitely on my shortlist for changing this year along with the Z900rs and maybe the XSR 900, although I'm a bit non plussed with the Yamahas styling. I was initially looking at the Speed Twin but for nominally more cash the Honda seems to offer far more bang for your buck

Wonderful video! I think i watched it like 6 times already! I am torn between the CB1000R BE and the Triumph Street Triple RS. I know both bikes have different characteristics, but here in the US, the prices are almost identical. Unlike EU, Triumph dealerships are few and far between, while Honda dealerships are a lot more in number. Do you have any recommendations between these two? I am a bit wary about the Triumph reliability compared to the Hondas and the Yamahas, but the Triumph looks sportier and the 3 cylinder has a bloody good exhaust note! BTW, I was surprised to see you guys have not done a review on the Street or Speed Triples! Hopefully you will be able to cover those in the upcoming videos!!
