555's seem like the best choice. Thanks for going through this review! Moog used to be good stuff, but nowadays they don't seem to be doing quite as well. Duralast is just asking to use that lifetime warranty and I only want to do ball joints every 200k, not 40k.

Just been there and done that myself in the last month. Stay away from Mevotech as well. The grooved style cuts into the spindle, which if you replace them will end up just cutting the spindle again. In the end the mounting area gets chewed up and no matter what mount you install it will be loose and eventually fail.

What do you think about the brand CTR? It is very similar to the 555. The CTR does not uses any locking ring nor cotter pin but nylon locking nut. They are a supplier of OEM parts for Korean automotive.

Why do the ball joints seem like they have no grease in them? or they suppose to have light grease only?

I think some have a plastic type socket around the ball and so don't need grease because they are not metal against metal.
