This is a great idea. There is never a good place to put gas cap to keep it clean. Honda Corp should pickup on this idea🤔👍

What is a hard drive magnet? Would be great to see installation. Great Idea, I usually lay cap on floorboard which could be dirty.😬 Honda might want to pick up this idea👍

Its a Neodymium Rare Earth Magnet which they use in older hard drives. Or you could buy a bigger magnetic wand that picks up dropped screws, etc and cannibalize that.

I guess I need to take apart and look for magnet strong enough to hold gas cap. Living in Iowa I only have a whole winter to figure it out . 🤔 Thanks for the idea.👍

I kept paying attention on cycletrader and found a used one with 12 miles on it at a dealership. People do trade them in all the time when they get rid of campers, etc.
