    3 жыл бұрын

you could try just grounding the neutral safety switch wire to the frame somewhere and it will trick the cdi into thinking the circuit is closed and in neutral ... as far as the sensor itself, you will have to hook it up to some sort of OHM tester or something.

As far as prep for powder coating, I really didn't do very much because I had it done professionally and they sand blast it anyway. All I did was use a drill with some scotchbrite attachments to knock off the major rust and imperfections and made sure to note and tell them where to plug all the places where I did not want the powder coat to get to.

The backside of the clutch basket is rubbing. There's 6 springs and a gear that touched and rubbed the case. That's what I was told those springs were. Check out the video where I actually installed the clutch - kzread.info/dash/bejne/c6uJk6V_fLSzlMY.html - let me know where it's rubbing (top or bottom or left side of the case)

My clymer book is actually what told me those are damper springs on the back of the clutch basket. Is there an email or some way of me sending pics to you. It's not the 5 springs on the pressure plate. It's the driven gear on the back of the basket and there's 6 springs that sit down in that gear. If I can send a pic I'm sure you'll know what I'm talking about. There on a stock 400ex clutch basket. Thanks again

@@klaykirby324 I know what your talking about now ... those springs that rest on the gear, they sit sideways ... it sounds like you are torqueing the clutch nut too tight (yes, it can be TOO tight). I would get a torque wrench to do that bolt and not just an impact. If that is not the case then maybe the outer guide is worn under spec and making the clutch sit too low. Or you're missing a washer or something.
