I'm 49 years old. When I was 13 I got a 350x and a year later I got a 250r. Both were like brand new!! I had a pepper patch and 2 acres of tobacco I bought them with. That was bye far the best time in my life. My parents and my big sister and little brother were all living and loving life. Sorry but this video got 2 me.

Boy I miss those days! My first atc was a honda 110 then a Honda 250sx, 1986 200x and my last was a 1986 350x.

Man those two sound like they were totally meant to be side by side. So cool seeing them side by side, even just sitting still. Would like to see the 250r when it's overhauled or while it's getting overhauled. Great job on the 500

Friends dad used to be an ATC guy and he had a 250R with a CR500 stuffed into it and that bike was insane. They're wasn't much on the trail that could keep up with him.

Was a guy around 2005 went by Kasey on a forum called 3wheelheaven or something like that. Had a 250r frame with 500r modded into it. Wouldn't happen to be your friends dad would it?

I'm liking these drag race videos. Old vs. new. Gas vs. electric. All awesome.

Ngl, Seeing the 2 Trikes cruise side by side on the AZ pavement was so cool. Even though we kinda knew what was gonna happen, that 250r still got some fight in it. Also, caught myself checking my phone at 5:51 haha. Love these types of vids guys, keep up the great work!

Got my atc 70 in 86’ or 87’. I was 5 or 6. Got a tri-Z when I was 11. I’ve loved atv riding for 35 years or so. While on a Atv I feel about 25 yrs old at the most.

Same. Got the 85 atc 70 in 86 for my 6th birthday. Older brother had the 86 250r and sold it in '90. I later went out and got one of my own in 2006 and resto it back to stock.

Love the work y’all do in keeping the atc alive.. but I’m a purist, I think that 250r should be updated but as close as factory/stock as possible. I have a 84 200x that’s 90% stock, wish y’all were closer so y’all could get her running as good as she looks. Thanks for the videos!

I still love the old 250r three wheeler

Looking forward to the 85 build. Will give me some ideas for mine. I’m already +4 swing and +4 axle. It’s got some decent port work, but I wanna go big bore and re work the suspension. The rear shock isn’t holding the extra length of that swinger. When I g out at the dunes the paddle will catch the plastics. Love what you guys are doing. You are my hero’s! Trikes and 2 strokes for life!

The red one was going right when the tire came up, tire pressures.

All you needed was a set of those goggles with the mouth guard attached for that 8ball helmet and some nice 80s music

The FMF is not the best pipe for the 250R, especially for a 310. Duncan Racing makes a great pipe for the R, I have one on my 86. They put a beautiful chrome finish on them too. Looks like show chrome.

They are 1” smaller…. Also our forks are quite a bit longer making the gap larger.

Sheesh that’s not bad at all. I’d love to see one compared to a Paulbuilt 250 stock cyl r and also a 310 kit ported by Paulbilt. Local motor builder that’s absolutely the goat at making safe power… I think it would hold its own with that cr500

Everything you have is sick. Im so jealous . Brings back memories when i use to ride. I broke my back in a construction accident so in 2015 i sold everything cause i was told id barley be able to walk and the pain was real back then. Now im ok after yrs of torture in the gym. How did i get hurt backhole bucket strike . It was awful.

310-330 big bore with a power valve. 38-41mm carb will give the 500 a close race! Or go all out with a ct 350 power valve setup if you want insane!

Absolutely. Ive built a 350 and 310 and a few other TRX250R’s. Itll be close… we will line them up again The 500 just rips for what it is they are fun

We also built a trx250r with a cr 500 motor for his buddy and it was damn fast! I love your content! One of these days I’ll own one of your big wheel/ 3 wheeler kits! I drool when watching all the stuff you guys build!

Put a 310cc on the Honda and find a 86 Will see what happens wy not Race a Godzilla Suzuki 500 And play with that 500cc vs 250R What a joke . My 250R runs 96mph Back in the 90s

Its a no brainer that the 500 would smoke the 250. Heck my 450er trike will smoke any stock 250 2 stroke trike.

250r rider error. LOL ... IMO. cr500 isnt all that great compared to atc250r engine since its short stroke that year ??? ........ but cr500 still should have better top speed
