Gospel: John 20, 24-29
“My God, my God!”
The Gospel of Jesus Christ according to Saint John.
Now among the Twelve Apostles, there was Thomas called Didymus, who was not with them when Jesus appeared. The other disciples told him, “We have seen the Lord.” But he said to the others, "If I do not see the mark of the nails in His hands, unless I put my finger into the hole of the nails, unless I put my hand into His side, I will not believe." Eight days later the disciples were together again in the house, and Thomas was with them. While the doors were still closed, Jesus appeared and stood in the middle and said: "Peace be with you." Then he said to Thomas, “Put your finger here and see my hands; Reach out your hand and put it into My side; Do not harden your heart, but believe.” Thomas answered, “My Lord and my God!” Jesus said to him, “Thomas, because you have seen me, you have believed. Blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed.”
That is God's word.
