Unfortunately, another commenter is correct. Many of those quaint shots were other towns entirely, Haddonfield or Haddon Heights. Shameful! Reality would be scores of strip malls.

I've traveled to every state on the east coast of our country, and they ALMOST ALL had strip malls. Haha. Maybe you don't travel or you had your eyes closed.

Chapel Avenue's two-mile avenue of continuous rows of blossoming years were seemingly overlooked in this video presented to show the fine attributes of Cherry Hill. This unique avenue of beautiful blossoming cherry trees only purpose is to annually call on the diverse community to join together to celebrate the fine attributes of the Township of Cherry Hill. It was a forty-five year effort to realize it! Many thanks go to the Cherry Hill Fire fighters and war veterans who planted cherry trees every year. Over 1500 cherry trees were planted! Also many varied community activities -such as twenty years of cherry blossoms parades were presented to the townspeople of Cherry Hill. Joseph G. Zanghi It would have been great to see the trees blooming. This video was focused on telling stories of the community and it sounds like the cherry trees have a great story behind them but no one we interviewed talked about them so we didn’t know. Too bad we couldn’t have found you!

Thank you for your considerate response to let me know why the two-mile avenue of continuous rows of cherry trees and its surrounding activities were not mentioned in your Hometown Highlight video! Definitely an oversight by Cherry Hill's Mayor Cahn and others who did not mention this idealistic effort of 45 years to unify the diverse community of Cherry Hill through the planting of cherry trees throughout the Township of Cherry Hill. Thank you very much in promoting the fine attributes of Cherry Hill.

Went to school with the mayor; East class of 1973. I have no idea what they are showing you, but the vast majority are NOT Cherry Hill shots. My family had a home in Charleston Riding 1968-2009, and believe me when I tell you it is now a fortress for 1%ers and the rich. We were upper middle class, not wealthy, but there is no way we could afford to live there now. I went back ONCE and was horrified to see the striation of haves-vs-have-nots. Cherry Hill is lovely if you are making at least $800,000 a year. Otherwise? Be prepared to be nothing more than a servant to the rich, and plan for a commute. There are better places to live.

depends. my neighborhood is pretty safe. I wouldn't be afraid to walk around at night. the houses are pretty big and the schools won some national blue ribbon award or something. "On the east side, there is more expensive housing in the neighborhoods surrounding Cherry Hill High School East. The town is safe, with very few violent crimes and hardly any racism around. Although the town itself is pretty average, the public schools leave much to be desired."
