Hometime in Sowerby Bridge in 1972
Ғылым және технология
People who worked in factories in Sowerby Bridge, West Yorkshire, in 1972, were glad to go home at teatime. I took photographs of factories and cine film of people making their way home. The three factories shown in this video are long gone. Music by Chris Zabriskie from You Tube Audio Library. Please feel free to share this.

Good memories, and not a mobile phone in sight.
Love the video. In the picture of Walton mill you can see our house top left. I would assume they were built for workers of that mill.
How life as changed so much
Awesome capture of time in a bottle. My dad worked at Homfrays once but not sure when. Cool to se so many people gainfully employed - and they have leaks too 😉 Hard but honest folk!

The mills and factories with their symmetrical windows were only short of bars and they could have been prisons.
Went to the grammar school there in the late sixties
Men in flat caps, women wore skirts & nylons (no trousers).
