Homestead Albania - Heart of the Accursed Mountains

Starting in the valley of Lepushe, Albania you can hike up Mount Vajush. It starts with a beautiful waterfall and then up through a beautiful forest that opens in to a majestic grazing field. As you wander past the blueberry stand, old ruins, sheep, cows and horses you climb. The climb crests with views of the Accursed Mountains, valleys of Lepushe and the valley of Dole, Albania. The trail falls off in steep drops on either side so trek with care. It's about four-five hours round trip. Pack a lunch and fill your water containers at the various springs dotting the landscapes.
