why does citizens insurance have so many applicants, i thought republikkkans were against socialism...

I've not had house insurance for a few years now, in the house I own, and I've lived in for close to 60 years. I'm a senior and I can't afford it, I guess I'll live in the streets or figure out a way to survive if something happens to it. It's the Florida way of life, sadly. Seniors down here are a dime a dozen, and nobody cares about us.

It seems to be the way to go. Pay off your house if you can, and wing it. If something happens, the insurance company is not going to pay anyway. They will look to get out of the deal by hook or by crook. I've heard of all kind of issues when it comes time to collect from them. Untimely filing, it wasn't due to the hurricane, it was wind that did it.... all kind of excuses.

Is exsactly what I did. After paying off the house added to my savings; that now has enough $ in it to buy a nicer house then I now have. And this house is pretty nice.

Florida have no leaders that's why things are so expensive here and people are getting price out of their homes and becoming homeless.

DeSantis needs to get off his tail and focus on what’s affecting and hurting florida residents homeowners flood and auto insurance.

Is citizens cheaper? And this happens because everyone I know used insurance adjusters that sue insurance companies to get new roofs after the last hurricane.. when they had no damage from the hurricane to begin with
