Hey Maggie, My son started eating our food at 1 year. I only make separate food on days when we eat githeri. I also stopped separating our utensils when washing at that stage. I still sterilise his utensils and plan to stop when he turns 2. Eating food and stuff from the floor is normal baby behavior. Not all babies do it but most do(mine does). Just continue to show him that food from the floor is dirty he will eventually get it. Otherwise exposure to germs is good for the immunity. Happy and healthy new year to you and your family.

Is it me or...I never blended any food or fruits, never assimilated..mind you it's my first child😅...I have been eating with my son on the same plate since he was 5¾months...both of us have been healthy for the past 5yrs by the grace of God...never been hospitalized too...we give thanks to Almighty...I have a 5yr old active 30kg boy and all I can say is am blessed..

After three kids I can say you put a smile on my face. The mopping the sponges the separate meals. Girl I’d say build his immunity and stop this separation he is old enough. But this thing called opinion ehnnn .good luck. It is not easy that I know for sure.

A happier new year to you too and us all😊😊🎉 **For the meatballs, I discovered just using the air fryer and roasting them there for about 12min(for Von type) then do the rest saucy things on the stove. (I add lemon juice before sprinkling some oil and air frying 😁) Apparently, you can do the same for liver to dry it before cooking on the stove, only that's messy 'cause there'll be some liquid at the bottom. ❤❤

When you have done solids for 3 months you are good to use the same stuff as you use for yourself

I'm a pediatrician and I'd advise you to give your child what you eat,if you guys use spices just use minimal,it really helps and improves child eating better, but if it works for you cooking separate then all the best
