More of A-Team 80's design with the metal patches on cars, vans, trucks. I would play the A-Team song if I was Syrian soldier when driving 1 of these. Also reminded me of South America drugs cartel homemade armored vehicles. I was expecting dragon tank from Dr No movie too

There was actually an M4 Sherman that *was* an MBT, the M-51 Super Sherman. But that’s a purpose-made Israeli tank. These Syrian armored vehicles would make the prospect of a Sherman MBT look like strange amalgamation of every tank ever, with thick armor plating everywhere.

Syria war is most interesting war. Called a civil war, but actually many nations involved. Many small fractions involved too. Running since almost 10 years. Modern tanks like Leopard 2 and T-90, but also old ones like M60 and T-72 in action. Sometimes even super old ones like T-54, 55 and T-34 are used. Thousands of self made weird looking APCs and IFV in action. Mosin Nagant Weapons were used. (Eventough very rare)

In my opinion, the first example you gave (the "Micro Car") would most likely not be faster in its Syrian revised version. Simply because it actually has to weigh more in it's technical edition; at the very least the weights would be comparable. You're right, they did take a good amount of the chassis off, but then they went and bolted on a massive 14.5mm heavy machine gun (heavy is literally its name) as well as adding all the armor plating on the front and also the huge piece on top. All that metal they added back to it most certainly adds up to be equal with, if not surpass, the weight of whatever parts they removed from it beforehand. Plus we have to factor in the weight of all the ammunition they would definitely have on board (14.5mm is a decent sized round) and last but not least we'd have to consider the fact that the "Cycle Car" was only meant to accommodate 2 humans, but here we see the S.M.Z. would be slowing this poor little automobile down more by adding a third person. Goodness gracious the Russians may be some douche bags but they sure can build a tough ass vehicle. As always though, I appreciate your content. It's always very interesting and really informative! Thank you.

I’m wondering if the Rustian army would get more out of the old T-64’s & stock 72’s, if they sold them on the open market for cash. Or maybe if they package up a couple hundred 72’s & parts condition units, and they get a battalion of mercs to trickle in the Ukraine AO by the dozen or so, as needed. Just a thought, I’d love to have a regular supply of snacK bar screaming fails to drop every couple of days. It’ll keep the UA morale in the black, too- IMHO 🇺🇦💥Slava🥇Ukraini💥🇺🇦

I imagine there's 100s of kids looking for parts and guns and metal around the war torn ruins of what used to be a prosperous city and they give him their "scrap" to a guy who creates these monstrosities and he trades them "new modern technology" such as a red dot sight/drone and I imagine this guy to be working like how iron man was building his fake bomb (suit mk.1) in the cave for the Mujahideen/Taliban

That cycle car has 4 lugs for the tires. The ad hock one has five. Also the ad hock car is bigger over all. I rode in one of those cycle cars and it was very small and could just make it under it's own power. All that armor would make it useless.

As russian vintage car enthusiast I could say that SMZ has nothing in common with the first vehicle in video. Obviously this one is based on some 4wd vehicle, you can tell it because of leafsprings in a back, mechanical hubs on wheels, dashboard and steering wheel, engine in front. While SMZ originally weighs 500kg has rear mounted 1 cylinder, 2 stroke, 12hp engine that barely moves the car.
