Nice home engineering. Track is kind of like a mini conveyor that I built from popsicle sticks, bicycle inner tube and some bolts.

I just found this project (Awesome BTW), but if I could make a suggestion. The front wheels could be put on a guide that has a spring on it. Like a self tensioning spring shock. Aim it forward with the wheel and it will keep tension on the track at all times and retract as you hit bumps.

I would also say adjust it in the center not on one end it will cantywombus once it's tight. Then put your springs on each side like was suggested before. Also your reservoir tank will need a breather or a breather cap. Good luck looks like fun you're doing great

12:00 a shoulder washer is what you should have considered for the bolted / slotted track on that wheel. Take care.

You could have used flex tape for the fluid container

How exactly did you coat the wooden gear in polyethylene?

He didn't coat it, he just sawed it out of the polyethylene
