    @@magnusjohansson295 An easier thing to do is fill two buckets with sand and kneel down and punch into them. Gets you to the DIY store, is completely fool-proof (ie pouring sand into a bucket) and conditions your fists/arms/shoulders.

    I have no interest in building a homemade standing punching bag but this was cool to watch. It looked like a lot of fun to make. Nicely done.

    There are much easier ways. Discard all the metal parts and just build a wooden base to secure a wooden pole in an upright position. Then pad it what whatever soft stuff you got. You don't have to have the spring effect even if it's pretty cool.

    After 20 seconds I realised that I needed, an electrical saw a couple of metal sheets and some welding equipment. That's 400 pound straight away.. Think I'll just buy a punch bag for 50 quid. Cheers

    boxing bag is cheapper than the tape you used :) I sewed my first of jeans trausers legs but this was 25 years ago when there was no exuipment available and I was 9

    I have read many negative comments about the creation of this bag, many people say they prefer to buy a bag in the store ... the effort and dedication of creating things on your own is a very pleasant feeling ... the fact that I do not Try it, it does not mean that it is wrong.

    Great except for that horizontal metal piece that sticks out where the spring meets the post. If you kick it there I doubt the padding will be enough to stop the penetration. I hope you've done some iron shin conditioning! Be careful!

    To much work, I just bought a 70lb bag for $70 and a punching bag stand for $100 and just hung the bag up done deal....

    man, amazing efford, with very little changes it would be much better. 1- sigle wider heavier base. 2- a more stiff fixation, less absortion for more power. 3- the punching bag it self cmon, it was just about dong a cleaner folding, you could even use some rolled material and it would look much more cleaner.

    Стоит обернуть подставку чем-то, или установить ниже уровня поверхности на которой она будет стоять, иначе твои ноги могут пострадать, а так все неплохо.
