Homemade Skate Pump Track
Here’s our stab at making a concrete pump track/mini backyard skatepark. Still a little work to do, but stoked on the outcome.
If you know anything about concrete and have ideas on how we can get it smoother, drop a comment below 🙏🏼

ikr its so nice to see people getting into skating when they are young, i wish i couldve im 14 now and scooter alot more than I skateboard (can only ollie and other very simple tricks, no kickflips etc). just cant find the motivation to do either anymore though.
This is what its all about! Sharing the love of something between generations and friends. Awesome video.
Just cool people. And everyone happy.
Beautiful, thank you!
Super impressed with the quality of the finish and all the hard work that went into it.

Greetings from the citou of Goiânia, Brasil. Muito emotion os indescribable in the face of the do-it-yourself spirit! A beautiful exemple for children as a legacy. I'm a longboarder, skate is freedom. Much love and peace to you English-speaking brothers!

Thankss I appreciate it!
I love going to my local park and flowing ! No push just pump lol
most cities just need something like this (maybe double the footprint ) with some ledges around the park and everybody happy and cut budget
This is great!
Epic job!!! Looks like a back yard BLAST!

Hahaha your comments are always spot on
To get the perfect angle use a piece of wood cut into the shape of transition u want to make to tamp it down to make sure the transition is the same throughout the ramp. I would go with sanding rather than another coat, also looking into that myself. Check out my skate park build part 2 for visuals
Jeff Collins! I know him! Hope all is well brother! Came across this looking for some diy backyard skate ideas, and this is awesome!

Hahah no way! What’s up Jon. Hope all is well!
Oof… those were not concrete guys! Glad you are making the best of it.
Wow, planning on building one at my campsite, thank you for the knowledge 🙏. Btw, pardon me for asking, at what age your father started skating? Such awsome dad ✊
Hey man, love what you did there and you inspired me to do the same as I have a large unused backyard. I wanted to ask if you had your calculations for the rollers and curves to share? That would save me a lot of headaches. If you have any social media I can reach you on please let me know :)

We kind of played it by ear because we’ve never done anything like this before. Moving the dirt around helped us figure out all the small details. It’s about 60 feet long. 14 feet wide on the ends. 10 feet between each roller. 4-5 inches of concrete. Hope that helps a little
