The first half of the kzread.infoUgkx3ICSK6nSknaL_45CU2NmFSoXjarGMDiJ book is everything about wood: types, tools, finishes, setting up shop etc. The second half is all about doing projects for inside and outside of the home. The color pictures are helpful. After reading a dozen of these types of books, this is probably the best overall (layout, color photos, plans). Only detraction is that many of the projects use a table saw/router/planer, which are usually expensive and take up space, so the plans are less friendly to newcomers and the budget conscious. But I know I can use a drill, circular saw or a jigsaw to make the projects.
That sir is the finest sturdest piece of shop furniture I have watched and I've watched a lot of them. Great job. That will last forever.

That was the slickest looking build for a router table I've seen on KZread
I think your work is exemplary. I especially enjoy the vital attention you give to precise measuring and processing of the elements of your projects. My grandfather always told me that a half-assed job is no job at all.
I was so impressed by this build that I recreated it myself!
I thought this was going to be another Norm's Router Table but it's much more. Great job! One suggestion, consider getting a router lift and dedicated motor like a PC 7518. It will much easier and faster to change bits and save your back.
Grandiose, the router table is almost too nice to use it. Thank you for showing.

Agreed, GreenDeetype, it is a little grandiose - you'd almost be afraid to use it - for fear of scratching the aluminium or perspex ..
Wow. This looks so great I think my wife would agree to keep it in our living room!
This is the nicest router table I've ever seen. I really like the use of multiple materials as well.

Well. I did not give this a thumb down and I think It's a good looking router table. But; No router lift, no fine adjustment of the fence (super useful feature imo) and insert rings that requires 3 screws every time you want to change?. There are hundreds of better (more user friendly and way quicker to work with) router tables on the internet.

Best table i have seen so far, this must be the one i build for my shop 👍🏻👏🏻
That router table look very very close to New Yankee Work Shop Norm Abram's version from years ago. I know because I actually built one with a few mods, myself. They are solid and extremely useful. I installed dual locking casters so when I lock them, it is rock solid and does move anywhere. Thumbs Up!
Fantastic, b ut I think I was waiting for him to install a router lift
That’s the best router table, workstation I’ve ever seem. Amazing work.👍🏻😎

My goodness! What a beautiful job! I'd be curious to know how the epoxy top holds up over time. Have you had good experience with it maintaining its sign over time?
@WoodfulProjects
I can give you an answer since I’ve already done my router table top with epoxy too. Since 2017, it hasn’t moved. Of course it has a lot of small scratch but nothing to be worried about. Probably that the wax and parrafin I apply for a better slide do help too. cheers

Mine is almost the same as yours, but I really love the fence - I will definitely do the same when I make my next improvements on it. Awesome job!

I once nailed myself to the ceiling. Had run out of nails so I took some that were too long so I could finish and go home. Stuck between two pieces of wood with one finger pierced. It was before cell phones and I was alone, so I ended up pulling until the nail bent. Ouch... 8:04 By the way, exciting place to have the hand. : - /

Great video and well done! When I typed "make router table" your video showed up as number 1. Here in the USA, you would have to put an electrical housing box to cover your wiring. Also possibly move that electrical housing box inside the main router compartment to maximize the use of that top right drawer. I could never make what you just did but it certainly gives me a great idea for my router.

GREAT build! This has to be the best router table build video that has been made. I was impressed that you provided the dimensions in the video. What I've seen of your other videos the work in them is just as fantastic. My Father-in-law would have loved your work, he was a Machinist by trade and a wood worker as his hobby, he did some fantastic work as well. Thank you!
I can never understand talented makers who make a beautiful piece of art with the woodworking and then ruin it with unsafe and bodged together wiring. It would have made more sense to not put the switch on the side in a separate box and that would safely let you use the drawer. The problem with push on connector is they also pull off if you have the in a drawer like that. When thinking of wiring, ALWAYS think “How can this go wrong?”. So yeah, love the table, hate the wiring.

I really like this. Very clean solution. Neat idea to use those generic profiles. They actually look very professional there.
Wow! Now, that's what I'm talking about!!! That is not a router table, that's a piece of beautiful furniture. I purchased a router table second hand. The man I purchased it from made it and used the exact same design as yours. And it weighed a ton when I helped him, carry it across his lawn. Man, you really do beautiful work. This has to be the nicest piece of shop furniture I have ever seen. And believe me, I've seen almost everyone on KZread because I have been bedridden for the past 2 months and watched all the woodworking videos I could. When I get back out to my shop, I'm going to add the oak trim you have on yours. That was the only difference between your's and mine and the trim just takes it to a different level. I've subbed so I don't miss your videos. Take care!

Best. Router Table. Ever!!!
What you can do with perfectly average tools (stanley, makita) is an inspiration. I love the way you finish surfaces (epoxy) and then take a router to them afterwards. Subscribed. Inspired. Jealous ;-).
I totally agree with Bill Lipton patience and attention to detail and name and source of components excellent
What a fantastic piece! Thank you!
