A tip. I have found that with high load the barrels get a bit crushed. Buy tire valves for car rims. Drill a hole in one of the barrel caps fitting the valve. Mount the valve in the cap hole. Get it a little bit of over pressure. Not much, just so it get a bit harder and dont collapse. Works great for us and it also helps when there are big temp, differense lika we have.

Good suggession sir . I also feel so. Filling Air inside the pontoons @10 to 14 PSI would be fine for protection from bulging and bending the pontoons .More over pontoon buoyancy capacity will too increase .

Where do you install valves? In the cap or right in the barrel? Maybe on the side for easier access?

Also shoving a deflated truck inner tube in the barrel and then inflating it will help win case anything causes a leak in the barrel

easy way to pressurise barrels uncrushable is to add a spoon of dry ice then close tight but not too much as could expload

It probably varies by state. In Texas boat titles and registration are handled by the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department. In some other states it might be the same entity that handles vehicle registration. IIRC, for Texas, in addition to a form you have to fill out, you also need to show receits for the materials purchased, and a Game Warden has to come look at it the boat. I suspect you can find the requirements in your state easily by searching online.
