    Here’s my full review of this exfoliator as someone w/ very dry & *VERY* sensitive skin: 1. This exfoliator doesn’t exfoliate, it’s simply not abrasive enough to do so even after soaking in the tub. 2. This recipe makes a *wonderful* soothing & hydrating mask. I also believe it would work as almost like, a cream facial cleanser? (Although it’s consistency isn’t as smooth as cream.) 3. If you are wanting this recipe to exfoliate I suggest adding coconut sugar. Bc it is unrefined, it has beneficial nutrients for the skin & it also dissolves more quickly than regular sugar so you don’t over-exfoliate. (

    You can add a preservative but due to the oat coming in contact with water they’ll begin to soften up so it won’t be very useful at that point. Yes you can use it on your face

    Can you use Almond or Olive oil instead of Glycerin and honey?

  • @WholeElise

    @WholeElise

    4 жыл бұрын

    Honey & Glycerine attract moisture to your skin which leaves skin feeling soft and more hydrated. Oils seal in moisture so they'd still be a good to include but they do have slightly different properties. Hope that helps! 😊

  • @WholeElise

    @WholeElise

    4 жыл бұрын

    Hi Louise, thank you! I didn't use a preservative so not very long, it will need to be kept in the fridge will only last a couple days maximum. I tend to make a fresh batch when I need, because even with a preservative, the oats will soften overtime due to being in water. To make it quicker, I'd recommend storing the pre-ground oats and then just taking some and adding the water & glycerine when you want 😊💚
