A Jacob's Ladder worker gave me a tip on how to get up the ladder, when your left foot advances to the next rung, your right hand should be advancing to it's next rung...then right foot/left hand, and so on. He demonstrated it and made it up the ladder fast. Kinda like how a cat walks. Hope it helps :) Love y'all

You can practice some quadrupedal movement so you get really good with keeping your hips as close to the ground as possible! And mixed in with your homemade ladder climb you're pretty much set 👌

We do need a thicker mattress for sure! Once we get high enough up on the ladder, the mattress just barely dampens the fall.

The kids want to build a back yard carnival and have all their friends come over and play. This was a great video. It is awesome to see you enjoying the new house and back yard!

You should do it! It is actually not that hard to do. You could make gold fishing, balloon pop, bottle up, and ring toss all in one day with minimal effort. :)

ANGEL, Try stepping on the middle of the rungs instead of the ends of the rungs.. looks like the ends of the rungs would only pull it to the side. Maybe near the middle of the rungs would keep you centered more?..

It’s because it’s only suspended by one rope on each side. When you are climbing a ladder suspended by two ropes, you can’t easily fall off because you center of gravity (which right where your torso meets your legs) stays between the two ropes. When playing this carnival game, you have to keep your center of gravity right on that one rope line. If it’s even a tiny bit off the line, you will fall over.

Very interesting build I must admit. Maintain your center of balance thats the key to winning. Its essentially like walking a tight rope but with extra bulk to throw off your center of mass.
