Homemade grease trap for your retreat property
You can put a sanitary tee on the inlet it just gets clogged with grease really quick! You don't have to put the 90 degree elbows if you don't need them! In some cases you can run it straight out! It all depends on your land!

I’m so glad I found this. Thx much.
Great information and well presented, thank you for sharing.
Really great explanation.
you are so intelligent ! thanks you for your videos !
You have a gift for sharing instructions for dummy's! You make the impossible seem possible!
How do you dispose of the solids and floaters from the cleanout?
I like the idea of a grease trap for the kitchen sink so I'm thinking of adding this to my small house in the woods. I looked at your septic system video too since I'm in need of septic also. Thanks for the videos!
wow, i wonder how well it filters out solids because if it does it well enough, i might take that water and run it through a solar still and recycle teh water on a desert property i own, considering this because the soil doesn't percolate well, and water reuse will be extremely important
ANOTHER great video! Im going to do this.
My concern is the contents getting churned up and mixed when grey water flows in. What are your thoughts about adding a baffle or maybe a 2 bucket system so that more settling occurs and less chance of mixed particles escaping? It would be interesting to see what happens when water enters.

2 is better than 1 for sure, you can add a sanitary tee on the inlet you just have to clean it every once in a while, 2 bucket system would be great!

You sure know a lot more than the average person about septic! That's awesome! Most folks don't have a clue!

@@theappalachianamerican8607 That's exactly what the powers that shouldnt be push, plan for,and implement through public schooling and through all lamestream media! Jesus came to offer truth, but they hated Him! He says "My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge!" I think most are just lazy and don't care about what's really true! Most would rather sit on their butts and beleive a lie! You know those, the people that get angry and start yelling at you for disturbing them with a little bit of truth?
I'm debating on adding one. Is this really necessary if you add an underground leach field? Clogging would be my only concern, it seems like I could just plunge the sink drain if it does.

It is not necessary to have a grease trap.
Do you need to prime it with clean water to start?
Hey is it possible to make something like this but to catch stuff before it gets to the drain field an ruins the whole system?? Like for example in a rental property where the tenants are not familiar how to properly care for a septic system, or maybe they are malicious and wish to cause damage to their landlord?? I was thinking like a smaller inline septic tank that then flows out to the main septic tank that then flows to the drain field. Does something like this exist and if so what is it called?
I love how well you really take the time to explain everything in great detail. You make it all so easy to understand and follow to the T. Thank you
great idea

Awesome
Does the water in the bucket smell after some time of that kitchen waste sitting in there? I would like to put this under my kitchen sink.

Yes, but you can put a lid on it and it would not stink.

Just finished making this here in the Philippines and we'll see how it goes! *Had a 3 foot grease clog because the idiot builder thinks water runs uphill.

It works great! Just needs a cleanout every 3 months. I pour bleach in to keep it from smelling.
