Homemade Fire Alarm System Silent Test
Ғылым және технология
Apologies for the bad focus, I had manual focus turned on because my camera's autofocus is really noisy.
--
Back in winter of 2022 I made a silent test video of my homemade fire alarm system and I thought it'd be the perfect video to showcase it on the channel. I had the audible NAC disabled so it was just flashing lights. The panel uses parts from five different snap circuits sets and has 2 NACs, walk test, battery backup, multiple coding options, strobe syncing, a drill button and more.
--
Devices:
- Multitone horn with dual bulb light
- Homemade bell
- LED remote light on flashing circuit
- Homemade dual action pull station (similar to FCI MS2)
- Sliding bar pull station (Similar to Gamewell M69)

I am impressed seeing both the panel and the sounding devices made using snap circuits
As a owner of a official UL listed panel, i am very impressed by this homemade panel.

I like this but the alarms sounds more like the panel beeping and idk if the bell ever went off.

Amazing video and system can you please make a tutorial on how to do the flashing part

I made one of the project that's a 0.5-20hz oscillator and then fed the output through the relay with a ton of capacitors across it to lengthen the pulse. To do continuous I just bypass the oscillator with a switch
I like how you made your snap, circuits to where you have several different modes of alarm

Yup! I've had that discovery for about 5 years and it's kinda falling apart. we got it used already so it's quite old
omg I built somthing very similar a couple years ago! used those picture hanging strips as well!

Do you think you could make a tutorial?

First I'd have to take the panel apart and I don't have a diagram. Also it uses parts from like 5 different sets and I don't think a lot of people have that many parts. Sorry! :(
bro can you show how to make it
I’m already planning on making something like this. I have the perfect fire alarm circuit

If you combine the sound and light sets you can create one of the most realistic fire alarms. I will have to see if elenco will want to put the circuit on there site
@MichanaAlerting
8 ай бұрын
Nah, you don't have to. This takes parts from over 5 sets so I doubt many other people would be able to build it
@SignalMan9292

Like I mean the alarm itself. Not the panel
There’s a mode with the actual buzzing and the relay clicking there’s one with just the relay click and there’s also one with just the buzz
@redstonecommander5190

So you really got out of your way to create a very complex circuit that contains several different modes of alarm
I didn't know snap circuits offered relays and wall power adapters! If you can put something like that together with that you clearly understand the basic circuitry of an alarm system. Ever thought of working as a technician?

Maybe an inspector. I like seeing things go off more than configuring them, but I'll still use my knowledge on any other hobbyist systems I make.
Btw is the strobe a relay controled by something?
