Ingredients
1.50 liters of water
700 g of sugar
3 organic lemons
3 tablespoons citric acid, approved for food use
30 elderflower, screens
Course of action
As far as possible, cut all the stems off the elderflower umbels. No need to rinse the elderflower screens, just shake them for critters.
Put water and sugar in a saucepan. Boil it until the sugar dissolves and add citric acid, finely grated lemon peel and possibly sliced ​​lemon (see under tip) Then squeeze the lemons and add the juice as well.
Add the elderflower screens and stir well until the elderflower screens are covered with water
Put the lid on and put it in the fridge. Leave it to steep for 3-4 days, stirring it every day with a clean scalded spoon.
