That is really well done. All you need is a rubber car antenna and you're done. Awesome!

That's an awesome homemade stereo! It even has a full logic tape deck. I have over 2,000 tapes in my collection to listen to. I always look for tape decks that are full of features, like AMS Automatic Music Sensor and RMS Random Music Sensor, where you can program which tracks you want to listen to and which tracks to skip, like on CD player. Hopefully this player has the ability to search between tracks on tape. For some reason, I always been crazy over tapes. Unlike digital, you can always fine tune the tape recordings, that's of course if you have a professional tape deck. I managed to make my tapes sound louder and cleaner than CD'S.

That's because the tape stores the CD music in analog! And analog is more "natural" sounding , and can capture more detail than digital bits! Even if you just play the CD,but still has to transfer the digital data back to analog so you can hear it! Except the cassette doesn't need an DA converter because it's already been converted and stored in analog! We hear in analog, not digital!

you should have plugged in the speakers only to the front outputs with a crossover so the woofer doesn't get full range, this will sound much better

That was one nice build. Good job buddy. Just wondering how bouncy/echoish the bass is. Because the wooden boards that has been used looks like it won't absorb as much punch as a MDF board would. No sponges has been used either.

дизайн из 90-х. но это ладно. во-первых кнопка. она ни на что кроме вентилятора не влияет. во вторых я всеже радио бы тоже подключил. ну и интересно что за блок питания у него.

@@radiopower4150 ну, как в процессе? не все понимают распиновки или еще какие тонкости. данное видео сделано подробно, я так полагаю, с целью возможности его повторить. ну, черт с ней , с антенной и радио, но отдельный переключатель на кулер.... тогда уж полное питание

Я про вентилятор не понял. Во первых - магнитола так греется? Во вторых, на схеме выключатель только для вентилятора, а по видео вроде как общий. А вообще, с руками и с головой порядок. Симпатичная вещь получилась.

При прослушивании музыки на низкой громкости нет необходимости включать вентилятор. При прослушивании музыки на большой громкости аппарат будет горячим, тогда вам нужно будет включить вентилятор

не, шляпа, есть много проектов гораздо круче, например, не реализовано радио, нет питания от акб и соответственно нет их зарядки, кожзам не практичный материал в этих вещах и быстро превращается в говно. это так, навскидку...

С таким оборудованием мог бы и без черных саморезов обойтись на лицевой панели

Берешь покупаешь старенький Panasonic RX-CT 980 и в место кассетной части устанавливаешь медиаплеер с экраном и все . И получаем би-ампинг+ звук на порядок выше етого гов.а и трудозатрат меньше.

That's also an awesome homemade compact cassette tape. I've seen you and other people constricting those type of real to real type compact cassettes on KZread. Kinda looks like reel clear brand tape which came out in different colours. But usually they only came in no more than 60 minutes in length, since there's not that much space to fit the tape behind those reels.

What about the antenna for the radio?

Good job. I think it deserves some better quality bass drivers so it doesn't distort with the bass turned up. I love those old car stereos.

нет антенны для радио, нет аккумулятора, нет блютуза. Этот бумбокс можно доработать, даешь V3!

Nice idea, but I noticed a few drawbacks. - Would have used better speakers, and a crossover for each set (not just plain capacitors, that's a lousy hi-pass filter) - The brown vinyl finish really sucks. Would have gone for either black imitating carbon fiber (like you did in the back, but all over) or a combination of that with some hand-picked woodgrain. - Would have put some rechargeable Li-Ion pack with charging circuit - it's not really a boombox if it's not portable. As a personal choice, I'd go for a different car stereo. JVC or Pioneer or something like that, with more features (such as MP3 playback, better EQ presets, LED visualizations, remote operated, etc). That and *really loud* sound is what boomboxes are about. But not bad as proof of concept. Thumbs up anyway.

I agree with you on principle, but it looks like he did this whole project with stuff he already had laying around.

Nice execution and a lot of patience. Only change I would have made is 3D printed plugs for the rear screw holes instead of a foam cover.

Nice, making audio players is like making a work of art and after' a nice feeling. You want to look at it for hours.

I enjoyed watching this, but I have fiddley, uncoordinated fingers and it wouldn’t be so easy. I agree with others that having a working radio with built-in antennas, Bluetooth capability, USB port or microSD slot and built-in battery for true portability would be good additions. I would probably have larger, detachable Bluetooth speakers to get more sound and separation. Your skills here are admirable - good job.

Professionally done, proper tools, 3d printer,.. good video... the only problem is that damn Rooster!.! Next time eat the rooster before you make another fantastic video.

You should put a cloth between the fan cover to prevent dust getting in and maybe paint the white cover to match the rear of case.

you do that very well. when I watch your videos I always think you're a big fan of the eighties. unfortunately you don't see at first glance how much work you do.

It will be more cool if u add touchscreen one. There's cheap player that has dvd video player, rca in, TV tuner and bluetooth. Or add some batteries, so you can bring this outdoor. Great work!

What did you use for a "body filler" on your 3-D printed parts before you sanded and painted them? I am new to the 3-D printed world. I was wondering if it was something particular for plastics or not, also if you've had good success with the filler product?
