Homemade backyard water slide above ground pool

Ойын-сауық

This is my custom homemade 14' water slide going into a 21' above ground pool. The slide itself is a 14' plastic playground slide custom ordered. Slide is attached to my 7' foot high tree house platform (eventually there will be a tree house :) ) and then attached to the 3' high deck before going into the pool. I tried a few different methods for pumping water and the end result works really well IMO. I am running a 2650 gph intex pump and ended up using a modified intex plastic hose exiting on the waste setting of the pump which then connects into 1.5" pvc pipe spanning around the pool to the slide. 2650gph down the slide is plenty sufficient :)

I remember when I was a kid we did this my dad made it, it was super cool we took the slide off the playground and built up a ladder and platform about 15 feet of the ground and it was super fun glad to see you think of fun.

I'm planning a similar slide for our pool. Think it's 100% safer going to tube route than a traditional slide !!! Much less likely for any injuries. I purchased a discontinued 9' rainbow scoop slide from a dealer for $100! Very similar look and I love the idea of the scoop, I have to really think about angle of slide so kids or adults lol will be given a little kick up at end of slide . Less likely to hit bottom of pool with feet. Thank you for sharing this!!!

What is the flow rate of the hose? We’re building a giant water slide and I was wondering what size pvc pipe we should use on our slide.
