I'm going into residential rehabilitation nxt week 12/10/22 starting off for 12 week's and then I can take more time if I want it, been addicted to opiates for over 20 years whether it be prescription or heroin.can lie to you im kinda poohing my pants I cant even begin to remember the last time I was sober.i totally agree with the young lad in the film that cannabis is a gateway drug! It was for me I 1st scored a weed when I was 13 and after that 1st £7.50 deal it was a slippery slope for me.thanks for sharing your story and I sincerely hope that you get the help and the 1st hand up that you need to start getting your life back in order however that may be for you! Andy Merseyside 😉👍

People don’t have a clue what this guys life is like. Many will see him as weak. Yet anyone who has walked in his shoes knows it’s the most torturous and hard way of life. The sheer levels of suffering it’s impossible to comprehend.

I will never see drug addicts as weak or poor men. Just humans who horribly lost their right paths. No one chooses addiction voluntary. Had problems with alcohol and weed myself, and boy did it ruin a lot for me. But being a homeless heavy heroin addict? Unimaginable. Poor soul

It’s a lot harder to continue using than it would be to give it up. Having to go through withdrawals again and again would have to take a lot more strength than just being done with it. I’ve never used drugs but that’s what I believe. I had cancer years ago as was put on strong painkillers and was on them for almost 8 months. When I came off them cold turkey, it was the hardest couple of weeks of my life so I can’t even imagine how hard it would be trying to stop something like heroine omg 😳

I'm supporting however I can. I'm recovering from an addiction that stems from being critically injured in Iraq. I spent over 15 years in either military or paramilitary special operations. After giving ALL I was simply used up and not only having being put on multiple opiates instead of addressing the issues, I was ultimately deemed "a threat to national security" and sent to federal prison for 5 years.

I was diagnosed in 2013 with Multiple Sclerosis and have lived with pretty severe chronic pain for years. Before I started on my current regime , I was taking Morphine 3x day. I went 4 days past my script renewal because I couldnt afford it ( this definitely happened more than once) and I was sicker than I ever have been in my life. The stomach pain was something that made me yelp out in pain. I looked in the mirror and the state of withdrawl had me not even looking like myself. I can't imagine the extent of what heroin addicts go through... All in the effort to avoid being so horribly sick. I can certainly empathize.

@Shell m You OK ?..I wasn't being aggressive with you I just said I hope you don't get get hooked on morphine and find yourself in a situation where you get hooked on other opiate pills if that's how you view all people addicted too drugs...alcahol causes more damage, nicotine is a drug and anti depressants are so new we don't know the long term effects..but if I touched a nerve somehow then sorry about that..so what was your opium painkiller course did you take for years and manage the tapir off withdrawl just fine ??...if so congratulations too you 💯 well done, but other people clearly not as strong as you my best friend got nearly stabbed too death and the hospital cut his painkiller supply even though he still in pain..then he met a girl the first love off his life and she was a Herion addict and due too this fact my friend used it as a painkiller and it got out off controll..but luckily he's clean now...I had no clue about opiates the doctor gave them too me when I was young and I took for couple months and that lead too me using other pills because I couldn't function it was just a stupid mistake that happened but also luckily I'm clean now after 6 years...so I was merely saying in life sometimes things happen and what upset about that I don't know but again sorry for that n you take care.
