Knowing that the companies love was fake means there is nothing holding him back now, no reason to do what they say, as for Ryan, I imagine it would be a much more confusing time, because he wouldn’t understand which feelings were real or fake.

She wasn't proud of it, she just knew what all this project might create and never fake not to see it or not be conscious of it and still continue, she just assume things, Vogel did not. That's why she was in charge. Watch again how she arrive, bored ans tired like she knew someday this would happened. Even at the end she is shocked about the scene (LoL who would not be) but she isn't screaming, nor crying. I think she is sad that people who did nothing to Homelander died while she tried to save them (the newbies of the team)

This scene ticked me off so much not because it was bad but because the lady acts as if homelander was a naturally occuring phenomenon (see hyperions upbringing in supreme power comic). They made him and at no point actually tried to impart genuine morality, ethics or self esteem why? Because a man child would be easier to manipulate. As bad as homelander is, and hes terrible, the fact that he even values the concept of love is the only thing that has even allowed the world to function to this point in the boyverse

This incredibly revealing line, which is delivered by someone with a maternal look, dress, and voice, does so much. It’s cold and calculated in a way to directly hurt Homelander and reminds him he isn’t completely in control. It’s similar in effect to Edgar’s “Bad product” monologue. even if the scientist in the others are then brutally, murdered and trapped, it doesn’t take away from the impact of this line read

"I handled it better than most" is what I would have said. Being honest with him is what allowed her to "live"

That’s not quite correct. Did they create a monster by manipulating him and emotionally and psychologically abusing him? Yes. But his innocence is still void because he knows what he’s doing. He isn’t crazy…his character is more of a sociopathic narcissist/ASPD. These people are fully aware of their actions. Which makes him an equally evil person because he is choosing not to be better.

She seems more proud of vought for manipulating homelander than ashamed or afraid of what homelander has become. The craziest part about this show is the disconnect that people have who work for vought from what is actually happening, almost like theirs a veil right over what they can see or understand basically never letting them see the full picture. Out of everyone in the show, you would expect anyone but homelander to have a holistic worldview on how things really work. But really, homelander is one of the people that understands it the most because he can see what’s actually happening, he just chooses to ignore it and uses his past as an excuse for his actions. Besides the group, The Boys, Homelander seems to be one of the only people in the show without the veil in front of him surprisingly. Everyone else simply seems to be doing work for either vought simply because they were told to do so or for their own benefit but never for what they believe is right, even if it is wrong. I don’t think many people realize just how relatable the entire story is, if any of this fiction were real im sure alot of people would behave similarly

Homelander is becoming more human than ever compared to previous seasons.

This woman is.... not bright. She know that they have full control over his emotion. She chose to reveal that power to render it useless, all for what? An exposition? She could've said the reason why she isn't afraid of him is because she sees him as her own son, and she'll have the most powerful son ever. She even knew she had that much power.

The way she said disappointment with an emphasis on the P is exactly how Soldier Boy said it to Homelander.
