Love the blue dress with the belt. I think your butterfly shoes would look great with the white pants and stand out better instead of competing with the fabulous dress.

I loved your episodes around your wonderful beach cottage. Please keep sharing your cottage. You and Pete are amazing and decorate everything perfectly.

Christmas, Thanksgiving, Easter cactus: all similar. They are easy to propagate. If a branch breaks off, stick it in a pot, keep it damp (not wet), until it starts to root. Then don’t over water. The established plant likes to get kind of dry between watering. Needs to have good drainage. Don’t let it sit in water. It likes temps between 60 - 80. (The cooler side is better.) It likes bright indirect light. Natural light is better because as daylight hours decrease it will trigger it to bloom. Good luck! If in doubt, use google for tips and tricks, dos and don’ts. Mine must be really happy, because it just randomly sent out a bloom last week and it normally blooms at Christmas. Bonus “thank you” from my cactus. PS. They don’t mind being root bound and I don’t think they like too much fertilizer.

Christmas cacti are easy! They don’t require much water. My mama used to say “don’t babysit it!”.😂 One tip though, whenever it blooms move it away from that white chair. The blooms will stain it.

Don't know if you watch Laura from Garden Answer, a fellow person from Oregon, but in one of her videos she actually repotted a very old and huge Christmas cactus. It was neat. Love all your videos and especially with your Mom and of course Pete.

Wrt that Christmas cactus, they are easy to care for. I would cut it back majorly. Save all the pieces and put in water and they will start putting out roots. I fertilize mine once a month with miracle grow the one with the #30 for flowers and it blooms several times a year. Btw , in the summer , I put mine outside in the shade and water and it loves it. Your cactus seems dry to me , it looks like it’s weeping a bit too much. Don’t be afraid to repot it . Good luck !!! ❤❤

Your cactus def. is root bound. Don’t be afraid of repotting it. It can be broken up into pieces from the root ball. Spring is the perfect time to do this. It also needs fresh potting soil. All potted plants run out of nutrients. It might need a little bit of mixed in with potting soil. Then fertilize it.

Agree , don’t be afraid. Your cactus looks dry . I fertilize mine with miracle grow once a month and inne spring input it outside, in the shade ( no frost) and it loves it. Also , cut it back and take the pieces to root in water. You’ll have hundreds more. ❤

I use to wouldn't leave home without make up, now i only wear it for church or if I'm going somewhere special. And I wear minimal.. no more liquid foundation, i use a powder form and love it!! And since my hair had finally grown out its really easy to take care of. The frame is stunning!❤ I love ornate frames! Of course my tulips have come & gone, but my iris's are in full bloom and they are everywhere! I have lavender, yellow, white, peach and purple with yellow center. Love the beach cabin furniture. Get good covers for them. The salt air, rain, and sun can do a number on them at the beach. We cover ours at night, just because a neighbor cat likes to sleep on them as well as the birds leave their calling card sometimes. Lol Can't get enough of beach peace !😊

Selena, I just love your videos. They make me feel happy and laugh. I feel like we have a lot of simular personality characteristics. Even my husband watches your videos with me and he says you remind him of me 😂 I love it! Also, how we are around the same age, we also have one dog and a cat, been married a good while, love decorating ect... it's so neat. I have had brain surgery twice to remove a tumor and get the hard times with health. I really wish there were people like you in my life to enjoy real friendship with.

That is a beautiful spot for the cactus. Do not over water it. Fertilize it once every few months. It may bloom at different times of the year. Dont clip anything off! It may drop off itself. It sets its blooms in the fall. Good luck! Its beautiful! 🙂♥️

2nd comment- that Christmas cactus is gorgeous! I have always wanted one. I just added my 54th indoor plant to my small apartment yesterday, ha ha, so it’s not like I have a lot of room for a large cactus, but I sure do love them. The one thing I’ve learned taking care of other cactus is they like to dry out completely in between watering. I tend to overwater, so I am trying to back off a little bit. 🌵😊🌵

You are just the cutest and sweetest young woman! So down to earth, natural and just REAL. I have two daughters who are older than you and you remind me of them all the time! Love your video's. Your new outdoor furniture is beautiful. I don't have a Christmas Cactus but my very elderly Aunt had one that she got when she first married in the 1920's and it was SOOO big it was planted in a big steel barrel! I have no idea how she got it repotted over all the decades! She would have had to have help. When it outgrew the house, she kept it in her built-in porch in Northern Ontario Zone 2b and it thrived!! It was HUGE! I don't know how the old floor could handle the weight of it! When she passed away the house was sold and they had to hire a mover to take it out! Everyone that wanted clippings were welcome to take all they wanted and to my knowledge that 'mother' plant is still doing well in someone else's porch!! I've never had one so I can't advise, but I'm sure you'll look after it well with tips from other subscribers! ~M~

Love the patio set, I’m all for a swivel chair! As far as your Christmas cactus, Laura from Garden Answer repotted an old one that someone brought in to her parents garden shop, I think it was last year or year before, maybe you can try typing that into the old KZread and it will come up. And that cactus was super root bound!

I also have a giant old Christmas cactus that was passed from a friend to my Mom and then to me. I trimmed it way back several times through the years. It likes to sit on the shaded front porch spring and summer, and in the house by a window in the winter. Let the soil dry out between waterings. I have transferred it once to a bigger pot. I have really enjoyed your adventures with your beach house. We live in Portland and also have a beach house.
