Nynke, seeing both you and your dad so happy was a joy to behold. No wonder that your dad is so proud of his new house. It is very cute; the plaquette on the wall next to the entrance says 'tiszta udvar rendes ház' -> 'clean yard, decent home', and this is exactly what this house is. Actually, the Hungarian adjective 'rendes' translates into Polish as 'porządny', and this is something more than decent. It is used with reference to something which can be characterized by a combination of properties such as solid, respectable, neat and orderly - and this house is indeed all that. Add to it the amazingly beautiful landscape and a very peaceful and quiet village and what you get as a result is an ideal place to chill out, relax and forget about the chaotic and turbulent world outside. Try some local cuisine instead of the pizza and spaghetti, you actually may like it. This 'Csokvaomány Konyha' you showed at 9:33 can be a local 'csárda' or 'vendéglő' - both these words mean a country inn where local food is served. If this place is not what I think, try to find such a local inn with local food as well as wine. You may actually like Hungarian wines. Around 30 km to the south of Csokvaomány there is the town of Eger; this town and the nearby countryside is home to 'Egri Bikavér' -> 'The Bull's Blood of Eger' which is essentially a tasty dry red wine. And around 80 km east of Csokvaomány there is the town of Tokaj; this town with the nearby villages is home to the famous Tokaj - Hungarian white wine of which there are many varieties. My favourite is Tokaj Aszu, which is the noblest one of all Tokaj wines. It has an exquisite sweet(ish) taste which IMHO cannot be compared to any other wine taste - no wonder that on each bottle of Tokaj Aszu there is a Latin inscription on the label which says 'Vinum Regum Rex Vinorum' -> 'Wine of Kings the King of Wines', it is indeed that good. The best one that I've ever had a pleasure to drink was made in the village of Hercegkút (less than 30 kn north-east of the town of Tokaj). I was there with my brother-in-law a few years back on a one-day organized wine-tasting excursion which we bought from one of the tour operators while on a trip to Bieszczady. What an unforgettable experience this was. We were hosted in a huge cellar arranged in an artificial cave carved inside the rocky slope of a mountain covered with vines. We were sitting with a dozen or so other people behind a large wooden table, on which a large portion of freshly roasted pork knuckle, a loaf of freshly baked country bread and a bottle of excellent Tokaj wine made in this very vineyard were waiting for each of us. I can honestly say that I have never had such a great meal in my life. Tell Ged about it when you come back to Kraków, he likes roasted pork knuckle and I think he would like such a meal too. Congratulations to your dad on his new house and, as usually, a big hug to you. Uściski Ninko. 🍀🥰🤗

Niezłe zadupie, okratowane okna pizzerii a w domach we wsi zadziwiająco popularne rolety przeciwwłamaniowe.

Hehe, the Polish language can still be learned, but the Hungarian language is a different story. Although the Hungarians belong to the Slavic nations, their language does not fit into the canon of Slavic languages, it is not known to which language zone they should be assigned. It does not match any European language.

Of course, it is known that Hungarian belongs to the group of Finno-Ugric languages, as well as that Hungarians are not considered Slavs.

The hungarians mixed a little with the slavs, but our language is finno-ugric and before we were also mixed with scythians and huns. Hungarian history is very rich and long - and that our 3500 year old language from the east remained, is a real wonder! Like an island in the slav ocean!
This video makes me wanna avoid Hungary 🇭🇺 at all cost.
