"Home Run Derby" was a syndicated program filmed in late 1959/early 1960. The 26 episodes were filmed at Wrigley Field in Los Angeles. This video is from a series marathon that aired on Classic Sports Network on September 29, 1996 with Cleveland Indians outfielder Albert Belle as a guest host. Los Angeles Dodgers sportscaster Ross Porter voiced new narratives for the opening and closing credits.

    Hank was, in my mind, the best all around player ever. His batting prowess is what people mention first but he was a great defensive player with a strong, accurate arm. He was fortunate because he never suffered any serious injuries that could keep him out of the lineup.

    Jim Lemon was a large, strong guy who could hit a baseball a long way. He never fully realized hi potential.
