These are things that worked for me while I was in pain 1.warm saltwater 2. Ibuprofen (sometimes) 3. Orajel and other numbing ointments 4. Ice 5. Do not lay down flat sleep with your head elevated 6. Gargle the infected area with hydrogen peroxide as this will help with popping by the abscess after the tooth abscess has popped you will fill INSTANT RELIEF However none of these are permanent solutions you need antibiotics like amoxicillin and you must have the tooth pulled or a root canal or some form of dental work done if you are reading this and are in pain I wish you the best I know how much it hurts

In my home country, teeth are not so much a hassle as they are a luxury for rich people. Evidently, the ability to chew your own food is a luxury or a privilege and not a right or something to be expected. It certainly is a privilege in this country to Simply have your pain alleviated, particularly if the source is your teeth, although that certainly is not exclusive to dental work. By the way, I don't live in war-torn Ukraine or anything like that, I don't live in a country where people do not regularly have accessed indoor plumbing, I live in the United States of America the capital G greatest country in the UNIVERSE. USA! USA! USA! USA! If you'll excuse me, I'm off to have my morning cup of covefe now! Y'all have a nice day, and my apologies for any grammatical errors in this comment! It is a little-known fact that here in the states, our native tongue is actually just groveling directed in the general direction of Elon Musk or Jeff Bezos, and we also commit to a pilgrimage to the Silicon Valley at least once in our lifetimes! I hope I've been Rich to you all with some of my home country's culture 🤩 ( on a completely unrelated note, does anybody know if it's a thing for dentist to do pro bono work like a public defender or something? No particular reason that I'm asking, and I absolutely have all four of my back molars in mint condition; none of them fell out or crumbled or anything; they certainly also did not break off at the gum line. Also a sidebar, I've now tried two different phones and if you're talking about gums like the sort you get gingivitis in, your voice-to-text feature will absolutely not ever, certainly not one hundred percent of the time, mishear you as saying guns like the kind you get the fire in discriminately if you are a law enforcement officer of some sort!)

I've had 4 infected teeth for almost 1 year. It's excruciating pain day and night with nothing that can be done. I have Insurance but out of the thousands of dentists that are in my state only 56 will accept my insurance. I have called every last one and only one will even schedule me. It's been almost a year but thankfully it's only 10 more days. I'm praying they actually do something about them instead of setting me another appt up for months in the future. I've already had to go to er a couple times and they told me the infection was likely spreaded... we all don't have thousands of dollars to spare for these events and without cash or good insurance your up a creek.

One word...BENADRYL. You may be sleepy for a few hours after you take it, but it WILL get rid of the swelling, pain, and infection. The pus from the infection is nothing more than poisonous mucus. The benadryl is made to help sinuses (a lot of it is controlling mucus). It worked for me within 20 minutes. Knocked the pain out QUICK, took down the swelling, and after 2-3 days passed, the abcess was still gone.

I had a really bad one and it started to get so bad my whole right side of my face was swollen & it was going to reach my eye & the pain was getting to the point I couldn't take it so I finally got to the hospital but they never want to do anything about dental so I told them either take a needle & suction it out or I will so they finally did and everything went away the next day like it never happened. People think bad teeth are strictly bad heigene but its so much more than that. It can be but it's also genetics, auto immune diseases, hereditary issues, being sick, etc..and once they are damaged it only gets worse. My teeth I didn't know were even bad till they would break. They looked like they rotted from the inside out..I also had many baby teeth all through my adult life & only two wisdom that came way later. I had hereditary gum disease so it appeared they were rotting inside out but it was at the gum line & below. Also my baby teeth were being crushed by my adult teeth leaving no room to clean, allowing cold dark places for bad bacteria to grow. I also have many auto immune diseases & hereditary issues. When I was 24 i had work done on my teeth, they were perfect and I ended up pregnant and had a rare disorder and became very ill the entire 9 months and my teeth were absolutely destroyed. I now have a mouth that looks like a bomb went off. I cant eat anything close to hard, I have to be careful of brushing (whats left) & of abscesses & sepsis but its also incredibly surprising because as far as what is left (i dont have the money to see a dentist) my gums literally just grow over and heal whats left. It can be painful at times but I think I may be so used to the pain over the years that its normal now. Now I'd need surgery on my jaw to remove all the pieces/roots . I think the thing im worried the most about is sepsis & not having any teeth at all as vain as that sounds... I mean it plays a huge roll in how the world treats you...jobs, friends, family, etc.. anyways i have talked way to long, thanks to anyone who stuck around.

I use a few things. A mix of peroxide and water is a good place to start. The peroxide turns the infection to a thick foam in your mouth and can reduce the pressure and pain and can help to clear it. Also Epson salts mixed with mater as a rinse/soak can also be good and draws out infection as well. You can literally fell the fluid from your gums mixing with the salt and water. After that a good brushing with baking soda followed by a rinse of apple cider vinegar.

Speed works a treat, you can take that tooth out with a pair of rusty pliers, no bother! cheaper than a dentist for sure.

I think my tooth infection is in my body now. Fever and chills. My insurance doesn’t cover anything dental. Doc wanted $400 up front to see me. I just don’t have that.

@@rikiellia My grandmother is creek Native American and she told me to swish with garlic-salt water and hold it in the side of my tooth is for 2 minutes… and then pack it with baking soda. I also took ibuprofen…I did that for 2 days and all the pain and swelling has went away. However, I know that because my root is probably exposed from my filling falling out that at some point I will have to see a dentist because anytime enough bacteria gets inside I will have a flare up. But the garlic salt rinse and baking soda definitely has give me some time to save up some money to go see a dentist.

@@LeyasLife yeah me too ! One of my upper tooth had a cavity clean and filling and the dentist didn’t clean it 100% and then 2 weeks later an abcess formed and I’ve been using coconut oil pulling to help with the pain and no more pain ! Coconut oil does help. But now I need to extract the infected tooth out so there will be no more abcess . I’m using coconut oil and tea tree oil at the moment so I can save money to pull my infected tooth out !! Good luck ! And I’ll give an update when I pull out the infected tooth . Hopefully I won’t die 😂

He said you could pop it at home and gargle with salwater or peroxide water but it won't treat the source of the infection.

The source of infection is lack of fruit in your diet or too much smoking

No, sugar actually feeds the bacteria of an infection, fruit is the last thing you want to eat or any kind of sugar.
