I personally don't care for the blue I've never been a blue person but I agree that there are many people who like blue but I think sometimes something that's a little more subtle would sell faster you may want to end up repainting it I mean the buyer isn't going to know unless you tell them that it was just painted on the outside right and they might say well I'm going to buy this but I will paint it blue someone like you and two or three other commenters like the blue I think it's gorgeous I just don't care for that color so anyway beautiful home but I think I could have done a few more things and not cost a lot of money to dress it up a bit more

Especially houses in San Francisco. I painted my house in L.A. (built in 1950) SW "Really Teal" on the exterior, and people in the neighborhood have told me that they like it, but houses where I live generally have a variety of deep colors. Only the top half of my house is teal, and the bottom half is beige.

Everyone's tired of grey everything, that's for sure. Interior design is no different from (clothing) fashion - it's an industry in which they'll try and persuade the public - usually successfully - that they have to adopt some whole new colour scheme and style every x number of months or years, just to keep sales up and work flowing in. To seal the deal, they then lay a guilt trip on anyone who doesn't like the new, fabricated vogue, and mutter passive aggressively about 'freshening it up', and 'bringing out its potential'. It's all nonsense; all this supposed potential and freshness will be proclaimed 'dated' and dreary' before long and someone will be hassling you to start all over again. :-D

This must be a really old episode, seeing as this is set in Toronto. The Toronto housing market is crazy and has been for quite a number of years. A garbage dump with that lot size would sell for more than a million CAD in downtown Toronto. Looking at the place, yellow ceiling and all, the asking price should be about twice the 799k he is asking, and therefore be around 1.5 million CAD.

Why does it have two living rooms? That's so weird. The second room should be a dining room.

It was pretty traditional to have a formal sitting room for company and a casual sitting room for everyday use. From a practical stand point it meant less cleaning when you had company and that's where all your expensive furniture went. Most people now days have family rooms and in bigger homes not everyone uses their front room as an everyday room but uses their family room same idea.

He had a dining room and she said she loved it there was no rug under it the dining room table but they didn't need a dining room they needed to put that extra room as a reading room like not up against the fireplace or an office kind of like and then office upstairs that whole big thing should have been used for a walk-in closet .. that was a perfect opportunity to make it a walk-in closet if you just put a rod across and nothing special it could have been done really well with the you know California closets as it's called brand but if I bought the house that would be a walking closet and I would have it rug under my dining room table in a house like that

Curb appeal is lousy.... bad grass, unflattering colors... etc Walking in to tattered furniture is a massive turnoff His mattress should have been thrown away 20 years ago.... cigarette smoke is a massive turn off... If your going to ask top dollar then you need to provide top dollar.... but you also need to be within comps... a bank wont provide $ over appraisal

This silly little girl is just an Order Taker, not a Sales Lady. Hey, she might not even be a lady. She couldn't make a living in a buyer's market. She wants this guy to cut $30,000 off this house, while it only lowers her commission Three thousand dollars. But it ain't her life that pays the loss, it's his & his emotions... Think about that, next time you use a Realtor.
